Chasing the sun...

It has been awhile since my last ride on my bike (Marley). I finally made it out last night and rode for quite a few hours around the western part of the island. I usually blog about my rides and this is no exception. Have a read and leave comments!

 

9 August 2010 ride report – chasing the sun

I love to ride. I truly enjoy it. I feel a tremendous sense of adventure when I ride. Somehow, Marley has a unique way of making me feel one with him…of course it took a lot more to wake him up from slumber than usual these days. I suppose it could be due to the fact that he has been left alone for so long that he is getting lethargic…hahaha!

 

It was a completely different story as soon as he woke up though. I could feel that familiar pulse of his engine beating expectantly, enthusiastically, emphatically…urging me, almost daring me, to twist the throttle hard. It almost felt like he was eager to stretch his legs! Well…stretch him I did…and boy was it an evening to remember!

 

Tonight’s ride started from an unfamiliar place…Pandan Gardens. I recently moved from my familiar Upper Thomson place and haven’t ridden seriously ever since. Of course, I have also been really busy with lots of different pursuits…hahaha! So off we went to the nearby petrol station to fill Marley up with some much needed nutrition…Esso 92 Unleaded! It was great to see him lapping up that clear blue fluid heartily! Soon after…we started chasing the sun!
