It's okay bike will wait for you - just continue the run in process, but change the oil out first. This will remove the bits and pieces of metal dumped into the sump during that 10 days of breaking in, and refresh the additives of the oil.

Oil does degrate on the shelf (5 years) but once poured into your engine it has to deal with acids from combustion and now, from sitting still, absorb condensation every morning. So it will degrade faster. My SOP is to change oil if I didn't ride for a very long time (more than a month).

oh... okie.. any good motorshop to recommend in clementi? and thanx for ur advice! :)

MotorPoint at Jalan Mas Puteh, just across the AYE from Clementi.

Sam and crew are brilliant at taking in used bikes and rebuilding them like new before resale. Their bikes somehow have better pickup and economy than "normal" examples of the same model. I've been their customer since 2003.

Oil change - I don't use Sam for servicing as central Singapore mototiams have faster and cheaper service (and from my experience at Planet, superb mechanical knowledge)

For oil change I like Planet Motors (3007 Ubi Rd 1, #01-430) as they have a wide selection of EOs ranging from Malaysian and local oils for as low as $8, lesser known high performance premiums like Chex 9000 (German full syn $16), and a whole range of Maxima and Motul oils for $10 to $33.

Motorpoint only has Castrol, Idemetsu and a few others at a higher price (this is normal for shops far from Central area). From my experience, the difference between normal oils and proper premium EO like Motul and Chex, is tremendous in terms of performance and long term reliability.

Also look out for other brands like Belray Thumper, Amsoil but I'm not sure where to get these. They are very good.

Accessibility wise Planet is open until 7pm but sometimes they don't close until 9pm (they will never keep bikes there unless waiting for critical spares import).

so means for kr if running in, u cannot open ur valve ahs?

I had to run in my krr after changing pistons. I was advised not to whack above 80km/hr for the first 1000km. Nothing was said about valve cannot open. Valve can open at any gear leh lol. As long as above 6k-7k rpm can open liao. So at 70-80km/hr also can open.
