Hack,

Bike could accually go faster in say 4th or 5th gear.

Keeping it at 6th may have its lmt. eg 160kmh.

Try & see.

Note: Checked with Our Track Master...

His HOrnet 250 can do 175kmh... easy.

Has ask him to give u some advice on achieving that...:cheer:

Hi guys sorrie for being inactive for a long while.

Jus came back to sg early july after 1 long month in India. Now seriously looking around for a job hahaha.

Anyway the hornet 250 can reach its max speed of 180km/h. have tried it personally on the NS highway. u really have to high rev ur bike on each geare (13-14rpm) before you change to a hiugher gear especially ur 3rd, 4th and 5th gear.

however do take precaution. the wind will be strong so please put on a full face and lean low on ur tank.i have onli attempted it 2x. quite dangerous as you will find it hard to see wats in front of u. so if got stone or anything jialat liao!!!.

And please do attempt on a straight road.

180kmh seems about Right.

& that's really fast for a 250cc bike.

Even for mine.

Hi Road DeviL,

Hope Most of your questions are answered.

Because of the light wt. & powerful engine...

Bike is very responsive, handles very well.

Not sure if raincoat can fit under seat.

Mine can't(H900)...

Hornet 250 guys... care to comment?

There are always some on the use bike market if u want one immediately.

Hope to see u in our next Hornet Mtg!

For the space under the seat, it's minimum. If ur raincoat is those emergency type (super thin) then can fit, otherwise the space can only hold the tool kits and maybe cloth & carpark coupons.

Just my 2 cents

Just came back from Cameron Highlands and Bading 3 day trip.

Hornet can make it, but i suggest first thing you get before you go is a SHIELD. I'm riding the hornet 900, and was cruising around 150-160, not a problem except for the $%!#^! wind blast. I imagine with the hornet 250, you can cruise around 130-140, should be comfortable, but the wind will shack you out.

Rest of you hornets, you guys have to try cameron, the curves are 1 x FUN. :thumb: Almost died on a killer U-corner, though... must be careful on the downhills.
