The Hornet is Alive & Kicking..

This is my 5th year on the Hornet 900F

 

Just took mine on a 7000km Ride Thru Laos, Cambodia & Thailand.

And the Bike was just great!

 

This thread had quieten down cos.. Honda had cease production of the H900 & H250.

But the Hornet 600F is still in the running.

And the new CB1000R had taken over the H9.

 

The other reason being most of us from Hornet Nest are over at http://www.moto-v.sg

which cover a bigger variety of bikes as most had changed their bikes.

But very much in the riding community.

 

Will post here when we have a teh sesson or rides..

and hope u can drop by for a chat or just enjoy your hornet on the country roads north.

hi, I ride a H9 and used to own a Wingrack but it's on my super 4 though..

 

anyway, to answer your question, the Wingracks are standard and universal. it's the mountings that are specific. so you got to ask whether there are mountings available for your bike. if no, then you will have to custom made. can try custom making it at Seng Kwang.

hornet 2008 yr 600CC model how much now ah, a bit regret buying my 1mth new old fazer600, cos i found the clutch and trottle very tight , hand pain . and i feel very hot for my yamaha fazer .

 

 

And how the fuel consumption like ah, my current fazer600cc is 19km per litre

 

the bigger cc bikes will always be hotter when riding in sg.. all it takes is 30 secs at the traffic light for most bikes to turn on their fan..

 

as for the clutch and throttle i guess u have to get used to them.. same goes for me when i changed from s4 to h9.. wearing gloves may help..

Hey ppl a friend of mine passed me his bike to sell hornet 250 its a fw plate but after riding it it seems so fun in singapore at least i have had my share of bikes big and small but his one is really really fun lol any he asked to sell it at 3000 hope no one buys it than i will keep it lol any hows do pm me if any one is interested

Seems like they are not intending to bring in the 2009 Honda Hornet 600.

Whether is it ABS or non-ABS.

Sob sob.

 

Means i'll most probably have to go to Loois or other parallel importers.

I need some help to get a good and cheap piece of tyre.

As i am pretty budget tight, i want good alternatives in getting the front tyre change for my Hornet 250.

 

I was wondering if i could used the 120/80/16 or the 120/70/16 tyres as an alternative replacement.

Road tax and insurance just renewed and expired on Sep 2010.

Bikes in very good condition, I am looking at good price since i will need the money to get a replacement bike. Probably... a one year old used bike... (have not decide what make or model yet, but, definitely not more than 400cc.)

 

I have no hurry to sell my 250 HORNET... it's a great bike with zero problems since i own it... so, i will only sell the bike once i find a replacement.

So, if you are familiar with the HORNET resale price... kind share with me your recommended market price. Thanks...!

hi, bro, im a new hornet 250 rider here, so can offer no lao jiao advice .

 

quite sad this thread, i think not much or at least the active horneteer's all already left i guess.

 

about tyres, i think uniquemotors have stock for 130 front.. about 365 for a set of metz m1.

 

not sure if its cheap, but seems quite decent i think?

 

they have the standard bt014 too. maybe u can pm them, they are very prompt in replies.

 

 

maybe u can share ur tyre hunting finds? my rear going to botak soon hehe.
