i'm kinda worried about the resale value of the hornet 919.. unless someone selling..

there's this guy selling his 2004 919 at 9K... but must flip the resale thread quite some pages back.

I still believe many fond of 919, some more it looks like Super Four. Twin muffler, aluminum swing arm, mono-shock, ex-CBR900RR power house, good torque, classic analog meter, wide seat...

Busa caliper is radial mounted right? Can it be install onto a normal telescopic fork? Else bracket must be needed.

dude, i think he meant the older version. 6piston normal mount.

even if he wants to mount the 6pot busa caliper, still need a custom bracket.

thanks for the information, to operate a 6 piston caliper effectively does the master cylinder need to be change (if owner using any other big bike master cylinder)?

any regular brake pad can be use on a 6 pot caliper?

wah two set of pads?

I like the idea of integrating Super Bol'dor head cowl on Hornet. But might need some modification to get it right. Can't imagine my Hornet equip with such a nice head cowl.

yeah man. its a pair like our normal 4pot plus another pair the size for a 2pot. and thats just for one caliper. i'm not sure if the master cylinder needs a change cos i didnt see any diff looking at the Busa's master cylinder.

have anyone ever considered fixing the kawa z1000 head cowl and light to the hornet? try imagine

do you mean that it require 4 pieces of brake pad for a single 6 pot caliper? 2 for 4 pot and another 2 for 2 pot?

do you mean this monster? (http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/product-specifications.aspx?id=432&scid=6)

the detailing of the head cowl matches the entire bike perfectly, if we fit onto Hornet might experience awkwardness.

Technological advancement seems to push CB900F way further behind, looking at the specs of Z1000 tell u all. Still CB900F has it fun factor! :thumb:

I do agree that the 2010 Z1000 looks good as a whole.. But I actually meant the head cowl for the 2009 or before model.. Older looks suits older bikes better..

Yes, 6 pots calipers is actually a 4 pots plus a 2 pots at the end. Thus it's using 2 sets of brake pads..

That's neat, I saw rykos CB900F with FZ1N head lamp need some modification works. Some common head lamp use on a street fighter are Honda Sonic, Suzuki Raider etc. Round head lamp has it beauty too, we can try some cosmetic work on it :thumb:

Has you check out on the price of Z1000 head lamp?

Saw the US rider develop some aftermarket clamp which replace the OEM triple clamp so to accommodate USD fork. Very neat.

the one brought in by equip xtreme ar? ya.. but i think i need one to deflect the wind :cheeky:

haha yup, guess that's more for cosmetic purpose with minimal wind deflection. Not easy to find one with nice look as well as good wind deflection fly screen for round head lamp.

Bump into a 08 Hornet CB600F, did a comparison I realise that too many parts which resemble CB900F. The design of the tank, pillion step, frame that hold the engine, seat and many more. The vehicle is lower in height, shorter in length and its much more compact. It has a cool matt black mirror too.

hmmm interesting, not sure of the pricing but depends on the type of sprocket and chain we choose. Sprocket I heard of AFAM, SuperSprox and JT guess there's more to come. Actually if we oil the chain regularly, wear and tear shall be minimize to the lowest.

Resemble doesn't mean can be fitted

Most interior parts doesn't fit, eg. air filter.

yup, its just modeling similarities... kind of like 3rd generation CB900F *but smaller displacement lol. The air filter should resemble CBR600RR, those flat type filter instead of the round cylinder type.
