Too ex for 9 years old bike. Besides the COE going to end soon. Must stand by another 1200-1600 to renew next year. Add insurance and initial services. Easily hit 16000. With 16000, you can buy a good 2nd hand Fjr already.

After experiencing with $$$ and his service to his ST customers

I feel its time to move on

I specially look for Ah Hai this evening at Sin Boon Motors at Northlink Building neaby my place

He was the mechanic who changed the timing belt, coolant pump and serviced the carbs before I took over this beaST

He still remember what parts was changed when the previous owner went to his shop to repair which the beaST performance was worse than a Super 4. The previous owner mentioned he couldn't hit pass the 160 km/h after which then he sent it to Ah Hai which now I could hit 200km/h.

 

I could feel my fork very bouncy after replacing the front 02 forks oil and seal by $$$ on the way home. The next day I went back to $$$ and told him the issue i was facing. without even testing the bike he mentioned no problem, he do very good. He mentioned he been doing this for 30 years. Maybe tyre not even, or the rear box or maybe my heart feel was bouncy. the most he stand by the bike and depress the front brake up and down.. Hahaha... say ok...

 

Ah Hai tested the beaST and mentioned the rebound? damping? rate was fast and the fork was soft.

When Ah Hai release the old fork oil, one side was black, one side was white... so one side obviously never change the fork oil. He even had looked up the ST manual how much mili to put on each fork. And the right and left fork is a diff amount. What I can say he is very knowledgeble and even explain to you. And at the same time we the consumer can see what exactly the mechanic he's doing.. unlike $$$ ask you come back later or tommorow or wait for his call after he is done with ur bike...

Now the shop combine to Sin Boon after they moved to Sembawang. Found it a bit too far as I stay in Bedok. Nonetheless, I must say ah hai is 1 mechanic you can trust with your bike.

 

ah hai is still there n i still go there do my bike de...been with them since 2b n till nw...ah hai is a reliable mech...u can trust him with ur bike

 

Agreed. I used to patron there when they were still in yishun. Ah Hai was then in Jit Sin (a branched shop). Very good mechanic, very knowledgeable too. Solve quite a bit of issues for me when I still ride my L-model.

 

i agree is abit exp compare to others, but the mech ah hai is gd. u won;t have worries leavin ur bike there for servicin...sometimes even though i dun service my bike, i will drop n go drink coffee with ah hai....

 

the standard is there n he is gd in his tunnin of ur bike.....

Gotta stick to 1 mechanic for my bike. I will try him next time since he is near our place. Just went to 500 this afternoon to change my battery and bought the throttle control for 6 bucks. He said he sell $5 to Terence because he pity his bike. hahaha
