Hi Bro

I can't say HKL is the best with ST13 cause i haven't been to much workshop. The last time i spoke to Meng Tong, he said the same thing about the heat issue for pre 08/09 ST13. Speaking to Ah Hiong (HKL) confirms the heat issues - was told they had similarly heat problem with their Honda race bike.

The last time i was in the workshop, another 04 ST13 was there. Some thing had melted, can't remember what, and cause the bike to stall. The owner was due to go Thailand and thank goodness it happens in Singapore, otherwise more $$$ and problem.

You can always drop by and have a chat with them before you decide. I chose HKL mainly i feel i can trust them, i.e. leave the bike with my servicing instructions and going back to collect bike, pay and ride off. If cannot trust, not matter how cheap i also won't go.

Am most likely going in on 22 Nov to leave the bike for a few days for all the servicing, replacement etc. to be done.

Yes I totally agree that being cheap is not the most important factor when it comes to proper maintenance and peace of mind. My last 2 bikes were serviced by Ah Koon but he don't do big bikes so I cannot go back to him anymore. I always leave my bike there and I know he will get the job done.

Sad to say I can't say the same for the one I was talking about. Ok I will check out HKL when I get an offday. Better for me too since I stay West side. Hate going to Ubi. I attend COR at St Andrew's Village. I've got quite a few friends at CEFC from uni days. Visited a few times too. Thought you folks moved to Woodlands?

To All ST13 Owners,

There is a meetup with the Malaysian ST13 Owners in Shah Alam on 25 Nov 2012. If you are keen to meet up, PM me. There are a few Singapore riders going up for the event.

Cheers!

Read in FJR forum some issue with heat and harness as well, not quite sure what it is. Looks like it's an issue for our weather.

Hi all! New ST13 owner here. Other than SBF 'Honda ST1100' and 'Honda ST1300' threads, which forums do you guys usually have your discussions as well?

For a start, may I know where can I purchase front fender extension and headlamp protector? Any lobang for the original top box and price?

Where do you guys usually source for accessories? Thanks!

Hi, as for myself, I usually find stuff in eBay for the st because basically they have everything there.. In local bike shop terms for accessories, I don't think there is anyone carrying the oem stuff like top box for the st. Try Hondaline and order from them direct.

At low speeds, i find the stx quite jerky even when i maintain throttle. Anybody experiences this and has a solution solution for it? :)

i used the g2 throttle tamer to help reduce the low speed sudden jerks. It do help quite a fair bit. Am no more riding the Stx1300, and have the g2 throttle tamer with me, if ur interested sms me at 93856103.

If I'm not wrong the windshield assembly is by a whole part number, so sadly u must get the entire set including the motor. Dropby Boon Siew or try eBay for relevant answers to ur qns. Seen quite a few Stx windshield motor and bracket lurking in eBay.

Is there any meetups for the Stx riders? Kinda good to have a meetup to share knowledge regarding the bike. Anyone keen to meet?

just experienced a problem just now. in the morning, start up and ride no issue. now, i went to start, the rpm went to 1000 and immediately dropped and the engine died. Ah chong from planet told me it is either fuel pump or spark plug. already changed spark plugs but now, engine doesnt die, instead it just sloppily maintains the rpm at 500, almost dying at many instances.

anyone has any idea why? so sad. :(

How old is your bike? Did the problem just start or has it been recurring? Did it only happen once or still the same when you restarted the bike?

with a few amazing frens, i figured that the issue might be due to a spoilt air injection control valve. my mech also thinks it might be that. tmr i will be going down to check it out. hope it is not too ex to replace. :)
