help!!! as aboved when during long rides my bike will tend to stalled engine, the other day, i was going to vivo then yishun then when going back to bukit batok, arnd halfway there it will start to stall like suddenly, juz overhaul about 2 wks ago, and yeah it also has slow rpm which i have to rev up a bit more to gain power and sometime i will need to change gear fast like every 10kph i change gear one, anyone know??, can help?? or even better take a look at my bike i blanja you kopi!.. hehe

sounds like a problem with my bike.

 

i checked & cleaned the air filter, check the fuel lines are not crimped (note the fuel cleaner along the fuel line.

most likely the fuel line hardened & brittle due to old age, i change the whole line & woala!

good as new

note, since you taking off the air filter & fuel line, might as well clean the carb with carb cleaner

I'm willing to bet the carburettor is over-rich and a small test ride session would point that out.

now my bike when its at 80 kmh its started to "juggle" i need to rev up more to get power, but when after 100 kmh its sound like im reving too much..

Could be bike over-heating? If it chokes at certain speed, and over revs at certain rpm most probably is jetting problem........ Seems like the carb is set wrongly. I could be wrong..... Dun flame me

NSR SP, the thing is i dont even know what wrong with it, all i can say that when at 80kmh my bike just maintain at that speed at gear 6, if wanna go faster will like have to revv more juz to get beyond 90kmh

 

btw juz wash my carb leyy, so now i'm still investigating about it...

er.. Of coz la speed will mantain at 80km/h when u mantain throttle, and if u want to increase to 90km/h u need to twist the throtlle more.

 

Dun think we can control speed using our minds yet.

if this is true..the frequency of stalling will increase..

 

if u have dificulty ridig above 80km/hr... check

rectifier/alternator coils..have your battery fully charge ..if the problem goes away...could be a deterioting charging system..

 

 

cdi...get another for test run..problem goes away..thats the problem.

 

and other electrical components..

 

trouble shooting one circuit at a time..then zoom in for component faiulre..

 

good luck..

 

the simpler items u can do...

 

this is your fuel system. check..

 

check/clean carb and reset jets

clean/change air filters..and air boxes

if necessary decarbonise your bike

check/clean up your petrol tank.

 

clean/replace spark plugs....check spark plug gap..

check plug cap for leakages...tape it up or change if faulty..

 

if the above is okay..

check your compression..

haha no i meant, i have like to revv more and more juz to go beyond 90kmh, usually by that time my speed would be like 120 to 130kmh
