Hi guys,

I got my license 2B for almost a year now. Over time i realized i developed my own riding habits. One of which is heavy usage on clutch. I have to say that 80% of the time i have my hand standby on clutch.

-I use it to slow the bike down

-To prepare to stop

-To let the bike run smoothly when i release throttle.

-For slow speed control

-Even for abrupt braking, i realized i clutch in before even pressing the brake

For most of these cases, if i dont use the clutch, i realize that the bike get jerky.

Is that okay? Do you guys have the same habit? I am worry now that i will have problems taking my 2A, because i remembered they are quite particular that you should not clutch in unnecessary.

They don't want you to do free rolling. For training, just don't rest your hand on the clutch lever.

If you thought use clutch too often, Class 2A and Class 2 course could help you correct the 'bad' habit. Clutch in before even pressing the brake is quite dangerous, it's very easy to get fishtail or skid because the rear wheel lose power and in free wheel status.

in 1st gear.. your hand is suppose to be on the clutch anyway.. but for 2nd gear and upwards.. not suppose to be.

your bike jerk likely because you up-gear too early and the rpms are too low
