hi all..jus bought a r108.. can anyone teach me how to run in..cos i dunno exactly hw..wat speed can i ride when running in..is 120km/hr too much..will it harm my engine..anykind soul to help me..tQ

 

RTFM.

 

Usually they will tell you not to have prolonged operation above 7000rpm before 1500km... and no prolonged operation above 9000rpm before 3000km or something like that.

 

Means you still can exceed... but not for too long.

 

Anyway why worry? Class 2 bike.... 4000rpm is already expressway speed limit. Just ride normally, it won't kill your bike. Accelerate hard, engine brake hard to seal the rings.

thx u so much allan for the information..so u mean don go more den 5krpm no prob le rite..cos 120km/hr is near 4.8k rpm..so isnt a prob is it?.tat means every gear i don over 5k rpm can le hor..anyway den ride until wat mileage den can whack the engine..?

Read owner's manual la. They will state something like that there.

 

For CL2 bike, you just ride it normally can already. You try 5 or 6K rpm the bike is already surging ahead of all other traffic. ;)

 

Your friend is recommending you run in for what? 2B bike like NSR SP izzit? :D
