Aiyah... Just got back from JB...

 

My bike is really weird, i rode all the way to JB covering another 20km (total 247km) and the fuel light didn't light up at all.

But I had to pump 16.23litres of petrol, which means that i'm way into reserve but the light didn't lit up.

 

As i was saying earlier, the light did lit up when i was at 208km but when i switched off the engine and restart the bike, the fuel light was off. And it remained off all the way until just before i enter the petrol kiosk in JB that the fuel light lit up again. By then my bike has already burnt 16.23litres of petrol. If full tank finishing at 208km is really jialat.

 

Does anyone experience such erratic behaviour of the fuel warning light?

It should be your battery is low. Slowly losing it memory effect. It common for a near worn out battery.

Having flicker is both a good n bad sign

 

Bad is what kinwei mentioned. A weak batt shows those signs. But then a new battery might also show those signs, that probably when the bike is aged with all wiring in harness getting old.

 

so why good sign? Coz this "phenonema" shows that you rectifier/alternator coil is working. As long the resting voltage is above 12.5~12.9V it shld be fine.

 

How to rectify? maybe can :-

 

1. change the whole harness (sibei ex..)

2. new batt

3. new coil

4. new rectifier

5. clean the connectors that rectifier connects to (cheapest!!)

 

By the way, LED takes much less power than conventional bulbs as it drains less current. Maybe there is somewhere in the wiring looop thats mgith have caused it?

Anyone here witha PC3USB? I loaded in the stock map from Power Commander.com and now my bike lost 75% of its engine brake..once I closed my throttle, my RPM will drop slowly but constantly compared to b4 I had the PC plugged in. is this a good or bad thing?

 

BTW.. any one with a spare balancer rubber mount to let go.

wah slipper clutch included in PC3 ah??? but like wat TeePeePhobe said... good for corners where the speed is not reduced drastically when throttle is closed...

i buy at 24.5 otr + akra 1459 i pay for 1k the rest bike shop pay!(coz i tell them speedway got free exhust le but i wan akra (more exp so ask them help to pay abit olso)

 

my friend buy at speedway w/o free Exhust ( otr 23.5 )

stock bike, go there is to have a read out on the stock BHP, thats all....the graph will go up but at 13rpm, it will overrev and cause a downslope in the graph....

FI light still on? or blinking?

 

When you turn your keys to "ON" it shld have the FI light till on, but when you start liao, SHLD NOT HAVE~

 

I believe you need to double check on you bike again...possiblilty is cant wack till top speed....but nonetheless i can be wrong and it can hit top speed...GD luck!

sensor alwaz failed due to aging reasons...mine is the EO light,wu tai bo zi lights up til i wana cut the connection lolx.....bt at least u can marked ur FC @ minimum 290km/tank for a minimum mod lor

Hey jonse,hws ur problem for ya bike??if still nt ok n dun wana spend tat much,mayb u can strip ur bike n trace the leak point to finalise the main problem....also try to diff if the smoke is caused by ur EO leak's evaporation or ur coolant by the smell of it.mayb u can check ur radiator for ur coolant level....hw ur tempt of ur bike?

OTR 23.5???!!!! I think i got ex liao... but never mind lah... cos they take in my rotten GSX400 at a high price.. and the new bike comes with my favourite number!!! so justified liao lor!!!

My bike really vibrates a lot. can feel a lot of vibration in the handle bar until hands can get numb.

 

Is this normal? I am thinking of getting a steering damper, what brand would u receommend and where to get it from and roughly how much is the price?

get a heavier balancer will do bro,cost ard $45 for motovations....n even if u change,vibration will b greatly reduce..bt still,ur right arm will b numb coz u r ridding a raw beast lolx....
