rose is that u in the orange bike???

btw how 2 know if the bike is running lean? keep back fire?

back fire means too rich. any way u dun use backfire to gauge. cos backfire is due to sudden closing of throttle.

Lean will make the engine very responsive to throttle, rpm accelerates with ease. Generally lean bikes vibrates much more than a rich bike. If u have a AFR of more than 14 is consider to be lean.

Rich will cos engine to accelerate sluggishly. Rich bikes tend to be more responsive during a cold night when the air is denser. Normally AFR below 12.5 is consider rich.

thank mr khuboy. how 2 chk AFR????

AFR = Air Fuel Ratio. basically means ratio of air that burn with the fuel in ur engine combustion chamber.

It is normally measured using an O2 sensor at ur y pipe. how much O2 that is left unburnt being tabulated to determine ur AFR.

easiest to check is to dyno, or to spend some money to get a AFR meter. Car seems to be easier they have AFR gauges that can be installed permanently. BUt i cant seem to find a bike specific AFR gauge, only to manage to find PC has a add on gadget that can sense AFR. but to use tat u need to have PC.

Compression Ratio is a ratio that is use in all sort of engines. It is a measurement of the ratio of internal volume of the cylinder at Bottom Dead Centre(BDC) to internal volume of cylinder at Top Dead Centre(TDC). This ratio determines how much the air is compressed from BDC to TDC. of cos the length of stroke of piston accounts for the compression.

When compression ratio is higher it generally means more power output, but it does have higher risk of engine failure due to engine knocking.

oooooooooo, whats the most idea CR a 600cc can go?

stock for mine is 12.8:1

buying a 0.55mm gasket can raise it up to 13.1:1

any 1 done a high comp gasket?

enough benefits to be seen?

the ideal compression ratio depends on how strong the material are used for the engine. n the maintenance cost is a factor. the higher compression basically parts get to fatigue level earlier and need to be changed. the parts i toking about pistons, valves, injector, plugs, gasket, bsically more frequent engine top overhaul.

yea, thanks mr ryan.

any 1 done a high compression gasket?

does a head job or tuning is require?

pros and cons anyone?
