In the gixxer.com, recent posting for k6 750

 

some of them encounted a sudden shutoff and then back again...the bike loses its momentum and springs right back

Yes u can just change the spring only.

 

But as what u u pointed out that the reason why people change the whole aftermarket shock is cause the valve and seal inside the shock will be better than the original one to absorb the rebounding and compression of the rider's weight, to keep the bike as firm as to the ground as possible during high speed and cornering.

 

7george8 changed his spring when he went to service his original shock and of course there is some improvement and difference but u still cannot compare it with the aftermarket ones.

of coz cant compare to those of a aftermarket shock in terms of performance n looks la keke....if not their price will nt b much ex than rebuild....bt if for normal road use,the original is enuf unless gt xtra cash to spend keke...
