Anyone knows where to get cheap battery for our model (01R1)? either yuasa yt12-bs or GSGT12-bx. which wan better?

alj is currently using the gel type from yuasa. any comments?

The original with the gel type is

1) lasting

2) most importantly .... protects your electrical wiring .....

which yamaha recommends for our bike. I have heard of riders using the dry or wet type but end up their electrical harness is burnt

I have heard that Unity does "hard run in" procedure with their dyno for new bikes. But I also understand that dyno runs wears out new rear tyres prematurely.

For those who have done the above running in, do you fit a pre-worn rear tyre prior to this procedure?

for dyno run-in, it wont wear much of your tires. it will still look new after the run in. but for dyno- tunning, it will, but unity will change a use tires if you are doing dyno tunning.

That means your front brake pad is dirty .... use a air gun to blow away the dirt that is caught in between and use a damp cloth to clean your front brake disc and everything should be fine.

If the squeaking sound still comes back despite that the brake pad is still thick means that could be your brake pad has harden and therefore need to change again ....

Oil scottoiler u can get it at motoworld .... price + installation i not sure. Function is that when your vehicle is on the move it will automatically oil your chain ... Some likes it and some doesn't .... its up to your individual preferences and believes ....

but mine squeak onli when braking softly.. when i do harder brake no sound lei...

wha... jus change onli also will harden ar... sienz... wat cause it to harden huh?

well no harm trying to clean away the dirt from your brake pads first without any cost first using air gun and damp cloth right

the reason that brake pads harden is that storing it for too long in the shops and another reason will be that the brake pads kenna oil ....

best is u try out the cleaning method first .... :thumb:

er brothers of the R1 family .... what i recommend is what i know of to my best knowledge ..... The gel type is what i bought 2 years ago till now and i am still using it .... Maybe they no longer bring in the gel type or it might have been replaced by a compatable type.

So what the others recommend is also worth it as long as its compatable

Sorry if i have cause any confusion or frustration to some of u guys here :cheeky:
