I just changed my brake pads recently. Everything is fine till i rode in the rain. When it rains, my front brake suddenly got problem. I have to press harder than normal then got braking power. Also when i press harder, got loud sound come out and some vibration too. I ride a rxz.

issit brake pad problem? or smth else?

is it a loud screeching sound? I think its normal because water reduces the friction when it makes contact between the pads and disc brake. Thats why you need a longer braking distance in the rain.

yup do check your brake hose.get those steel type.and if u still find that not enough braking power, change to a better pad.and if u still find it not good enough, upsize your pump bore. =)

i believe its normal bro...

remember what school teaches you about intermittent braking on wet days?

it is because during rainy days, brakes are not as effective. for simple reason is your disc brake is wet hence its slippery.

i face the same thing too.. so gotto go slower on rainy days bro

ride safe!! :cheeky:

Agreed, I face the same problem too when I ride in the rain... For effective braking, down gear and brake simultaneously, please ride slow during rainy days. Do regular check on the tires for worn out threads or insufficient pressure.

This also depends on the brake pads you use bro. A good one will work both in wet and dry conditions without and trouble. Change of brake hoses is to make the brakes more responsive to your touch. It is good to change also.

So what brake pads are you using?

change brake hose roughly hw much? for front or back or both tgt??

Depends on how many brake lines are need and brand & quality do play apart. Best to check with shops. Some brand names are HEL, Active and Swageline
