BTW, is the XC or road version more popular? How far can 1 tank take you before the lights come on?

It depends on your usage/needs.If u spend 60% otr n another 40% off road then e XC is your ideal choice but if it's gona be 85% road n 15% off road then e roadie is e way to go.Both can handle off road but when it gets technical,e XC's superior suspension & ground clearance adapts better.

My kind of riding is 70% highway n 30% street.I pump whenever i hit 350km.Hope e info helps.

350km per tank is really nice distance! :)

For local rides,i pump whenever i hit 350km while for touring,i usually pump around e 250km mark so from GP Esso usually i'll skip Pagoh and shoot straight to Ayer Keroh(120-160km/h)

Btw i'm currently using e latest map(3rd map since e release) so i'll update again when i understand e new F/C.Cheers!

Hi guys, I used to ride the old steamer (Tiger 885) before switching to a naked inline4. Kind of miss the howl of inline3. Just wanted to check with you how the new roadie 800 performs on the road.

Also my old Tiger used to dive like a bomber under heavy braking and was a bit of pain to move around while parking.

The new 800 with ABS, how is the braking in the wet? And how is the high speed handling?

I think I saw joeboxer's Tiger in Jurong West when I was visiting in-laws. Looks even better in real life.

The Tiger800 has very good road handling characteristic and e engine is a peach! That's what i yearn to hear each time i wake up from my sleep! As for e forks,e stock setup is pretty firm, sure the front forks dipped slightly under heavy braking but it was quite acceptable to be honest and a pleasant change from some bikes I could mention.Mine is without ABS so i couldn't really answer your queries on that and lastly, bike is stable anywere below 190km/h although it can reach speeds in excess of 200km/h. Hope that helps.

the bike is good in handling & speed wise in terms of pick up is good, best of all is the FC, can reach 300km & above in a single tank. My bike comes with ABS, can say it is active & can be de-activated if going on off road

no regrats on buying this bike

Last heard there was an extremely low mileage roadie in Lois... Wonder if it's still available... Grab a new one lah. Price don't really drop a lot.
