Mine is a navy blue V45. I have since changed the exhaust to 4xsteel pipes as the stock pipes was corroded due to water collection when it rain heavily (sorry no photos). This was the only problem for the bike (skyward pointing exhausts). I am addicted to the sound and movement of the distinctive engine pumping...giving me the biker high riding on a Super Magna. I am still waiting for the day when I have the crazy urge to restore it back to precinct for a fun spin in town. By the way, my mechanic is restoring one similar bike and he is complaining high and low, maybe mine will be next in line. Hahaha...

May the magna tribes grow safely and steadily...

Been riding my super magna ( FF plate ) for over 6 years.

Started out with plans to spruce it up....but things happen....for the past 5 years she's been just a mode of transport...an expensive one ( i mean fuel, road tax, insurance, expendables )...but i just can't find it in me to sell her.

As you can see from the photo, she looks terrible...and that was 2 years ago.

I've been thinking of letting her go lately but....

Anyways, i dun deserve to be a 'magna lover' but just wanna give a shoutout to the magna community in SG...YOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Hi all Super Magna owners.

I am a Singaporean based in Korea and just recently aquired my Super Magna (17 yrs old, 1 owner) good condition, original stock parts. I am looking for some spares to spruce up the bike to mint, found most of what I need online, but have been unable to find a few cosmetic fairings and covers.

Anyone got any idea where to get :-

1.) Airbox cover (chrome or black)

2.) Fairings (under-carriage)

3.) Speedo/Tacho meter

3.) New stock pipes (just trying... hee)

And I'm tossing about the idea of customising pipes and adding SuperTrapps... any comments?

Hi Josh,

We do have some accesories in singapore. But as for exhaust like this i think you might wanna try the SMOG. Cos they got specific exhaust for Super Magna. Which soundsssss Wooooooooo. Slurrp. Haha. Here in Singapore its hard to get those pipes cos Singapore is a very strict place for exhaust here so we dun have these loud pipes like those in America. I mean if you wanna get a new pipe might as well get something Different rite.

Anyway nice place in Jeajo. Would love to ride my magna there and smell the mountain greens. Owwwwww. So romantic just me and my Magna. I love to ride to Philipines too together with Oneheadlight to explore the country side.

Anyway best of luck for your findings. In singapore you can see if you can get the LAB at Kelantan Lane to help you.

Regards,

Bernard

Hi all

I'm sorry to revive an old old thread but I'm hoping to catch someone still lurking around with a passion for the Magna V45 and more specifically the 1987 - 1988 models with the 4 upturned exhausts

Was hoping to have a meet up and hopefully some supper with our bikes together - swap stories and all that eh? My Magna was the only one I've seen on the road so far and I can't believe I've been riding it everyday for almost two years now

most have been gutted and shipped out of s'pore. it is indeed a pretty decent machine but not really loved here in s'pore as the mech's generally hate it as v4's are hard to work on.

Anyone know what the correct length of the rear shocks for the 88 Magna should be? I measured them as being 13.5 inch's but not sure if am measuring it right - from anchor point to anchor point when bike is unloaded. I am thinking of ordering in progressive springs to change both rear shocks and front springs. Has anyone here ever tried putting such springs on your cruiser? Am curious to know if its worth the cost.

yes, just picked up an 88 SuperMagna from someone who had it for 16 years!

Anyone know a good custom paint shop too?
