Thanks for e supports of all bros here to make this thread lively also...hehe. Btw wat speed r u travelling since clocking 2k, 80km/hr? I think it will b quite tough to go long distance on 125cc, a bigger cc bike will make ur ride more comfortable n safe bro.

Guys, when u do servicing for 500km at cka, wat did e mechs there do or check anythings beside changing engine oil? did they change gear oil also? thinking of DIY it myself le.

Guys, waiting for ur inputs to e above question le, btw will b clocking 500km soon. Merry christmas to every1 n ride safe during e festive season.

Hi all! Just got my bike today! Traded in my daystar for S3, while riding the S3 back, only 1 word can describe the feeling! SHOIK!!! at 1st not used to it cos my daystar is wide handle and also manual so need time to get use to S3 handle and the just twist and go style! Some bro commented the bike underpower etc but to me I feel ok ler, no underpower wor,Somemore today just collect bike and engine still new not even run in yet and already can feel the power so I think after run in and maybe change the KNN filter power shouldn't be a problem! For a 125cc bike I can say I'm really impress with the power!

Hello everyone. It's been almost a week since I've collected my new bike. Here are some of my personal reviews. Ever since I've got my 2B license, I've been riding the Gilera Runner vxr200 for more than 1 and a half year.

Initially i wanted to get the Honda PCX (I just dig the new VFR lookalike headlamps), but after a trip down to Boon Siew showroom, i found that there are some of the features of the PCX which i don't really like. First is the width of the tyres, they're skinny. From the back view, the bike reminds me of the Yamaha Fino scooter! Secondly is the drum brake setup at the rear and the differences in feel between the front and rear levers. However, in terms of branding i would definitely choose Honda over Daelim. Pricing wise from what I've got is almost similar to each other.

So I ended up purchasing the S3 instead. Like the looks and riding position. The pick up was terrible for me at first as i was really used to the faster Runner (125cc vs 200cc...) But after riding for a while, i can say that for a 125cc bike, it's considered quite powerful(Torque is there, can cope MSCP slopes better than my Runner). Just throttle more and the hardworking engine will deliver the work, slowly and steadily... haha. I had no problems with pillions weighting 60+kg. Most importantly, i no longer have to squeeze with the pillion as compared to my Runner =).

The brake system is efficient and responsive enough for me, however, i have to be more cautious when making very sharp and low speeds turning due to the centralized braking system via the left or "rear" brake lever. Would prefer to use the rear brakes only when making such turning as it feels more stable.

Ride quality is decent. But i had the same problem as when i got my Runner, wobbling due to lower end tyres. Problem solved after switching to Michelin Gold Standard and Pilot Sport tyres on my runner. But since this is a brand new bike, i shall have them changed later and run on lower pressure as for now.

The keyless function is starting to pamper my lazyness and now i wish that i could have the same feature for my rear box! Right now i've not done much changes to the bike except for removing all the badges and changing to heavier bar balancers. I'll be installing my Power Abuser Voltage Stabilizer and Power Ignite system carried over from my runner soon and will let you guys know if the system does make any improvements. That's all folks. Enjoy the holiday seasons and ride safe. Cheers!

As for my ride, not much improvement in FC as i only managed to clock 29km/l at most. I've been trying shell 95, 98 and v power. IMO, shell 98 gave me smoother rides. Currently i'm on esso ron 98 and it disappoints because my bike is very jerky (when moving off) even after 5 mins of warming up (that did not happen when i was using shell) After a distance of riding, everything went back to normal. Moreover, my FC decreases to 26km/l.

Some problems started to surface like LED headlight flickering (common problem) hazard lights fail at times, when reversing, squealing sound coming from the rear wheel (more like the brake pad rubbing against the disc brake) Well, these are negotiable imo and i'm going for my 2nd servicing tmr :)

Ronnie says range is up to 1m and if i am not wrong you can mount a givi box at the back. Anyway I wont be getting the S3 already! Going to get the Piaggio MP3 125cc. But will always have a soft spot for the S3! Cheers guys!

jackelvin! Thanks will do some reading!

Hi, my ODO clocked 99km(still very low mileage) and so far the fastest i've hit was 100+km/h and i believe that 120km/h is achievable in this bike. Beyond that i'm not so sure. Fastest i've gone in my Gilera Runner was 125+km/h and was quite unstable already. Unless got a big fat pillion as a ballast to keep it more stable. Haha.

So far no problems with the keyless system, already got so used to it now that i find taking out my key to open the rear box is so troublesome! Lol.

Current i'm using a 45litre coocase astra box at the rear as i keep two helmets(one full face and one open face helmet). As for the space in the rear seat, it can swallow my full face helmet with no problems and my raining gear as well. So to fix a box of not depends on wad you usually carry along with you. But my advise is just go ahead and install a box behind. They really come in useful when you have more stuffs to carry. In terms of look, with a big bulky box at the rear, this bike still looks awesome! Haha. As for handling wise, i rode for a day without my box and i conclude that the big box does not affect the overall handling at all(Not the same case as my Runner...). Finally, I believe that cka will gladly offer to install a 45litre givi box as a package when you purchase the bike(while stocks last?). So why not? Cheers.
