Ronnie says range is up to 1m and if i am not wrong you can mount a givi box at the back. Anyway I wont be getting the S3 already! Going to get the Piaggio MP3 125cc. But will always have a soft spot for the S3! Cheers guys!

jackelvin! Thanks will do some reading!

Hi, may i know how much does a MP3 cost OTR? It's a very cool bike, very safe and stable(3 wheels!) But due to the design, the weight should be quite heavy (200++kg?). The 400cc model would be perfect though... But too bad Im too lazy to carry on my 2A lesson. =)

Hi, my ODO clocked 99km(still very low mileage) and so far the fastest i've hit was 100+km/h and i believe that 120km/h is achievable in this bike. Beyond that i'm not so sure. Fastest i've gone in my Gilera Runner was 125+km/h and was quite unstable already. Unless got a big fat pillion as a ballast to keep it more stable. Haha.

So far no problems with the keyless system, already got so used to it now that i find taking out my key to open the rear box is so troublesome! Lol.

Current i'm using a 45litre coocase astra box at the rear as i keep two helmets(one full face and one open face helmet). As for the space in the rear seat, it can swallow my full face helmet with no problems and my raining gear as well. So to fix a box of not depends on wad you usually carry along with you. But my advise is just go ahead ainstall a box behind. They really come in useful when you have more stuffs to carry. In terms of look, with a big bulky box at the rear, this bike still looks awesome! Haha. As for handling wise, i rode for a day without my box and i conclude that the big box does not affect the overall handling at all(Not the same case as my Runner...). Finally, I believe that cka will gladly offer to install a 45litre givi box as a package when you purchase the bike(while stocks last?). So why not? Cheers.

Hey everyone, for those who are asking how much the MP3 costs... 125cc currently retailing at S$12500, COE just dropped so price dropped. Am not buying just yet as I will be taking my test later this month. It is heavy, pick up is not good, revs reach 7000rmp. Well, I think the focus is more on the safety than the speed.

Cheers everyone, Happy New Year.

Was initially thinking of sym joymax 300 as well but I went down to mah motor and saw the bike wasn't just as nice as s3. On top of that, I felt that the staff in mah motor wasn't honest or maybe did nt do their homewrk well enuff.

Initially I emailed their manager and ask for a Otr price for joymax 300i, he quoted me and told me the interest rate is 4% but when I went down to the shop, I was attended by one of the staff there and was quoted a 5% interest rate. He also told me nt to look for their manager as he will be busy.

I do nt wish to make a firm decision as in he is lying or wad but just take it as he doesn't do his homework well enough.

In terms of power I think joymax has the upperhand and the trunk is slightly more spacious than s3, but I personally feel s3 is a little more class and it has a cigar jack which I can charge my stuff which joymax don't.

In terms of credibility, mah motor is well establish but I think their staff(don't know their work well) but Cka does and in the oldern saying Cka doesn't alibaba.

Yup, service and after sales services are important in purchasing a new bike. But personally, if i have the license, i'll definitely choose the higher performance bike over looks, quality and service. But ultimately it's up to your needs and riding style. Will wait for your good news of enjoying a new bike. Decide and don't rush yourself. Cheers. -Kelvin-

Thanks for ur advice, I'm still considering joymax 300i as well. Hope there will be more feedbacks on both s3 and even joymax 300i.

Got chk coolant level? Did it dropped? The temp meter is at 1/4 for mine most of the time even when hot. Engine oil should be between middle and high. There are 3 bolts at the trans oil sys, top is the oil top up point, middle is the check point and bottom is the drain point, so basically you fill from the top till the check point over flows(Remember to have the drain bolt installed before topping.... haha) What's ur current mileage? I don't think that there's a need to have the trans oil changed so soon.(Unless u wanna flush something out) Cheers. -Kelvin-

E coolant level is between high n low, temp most of e time is 1/4 but dunno how come can shoot to half range le. As for e trans oil just wanna make sure there is sufficent oil inside so change lor, kiasue abit haha. For Engine oil level i think depend on personal reference as some fill to e max level while others is between high n low level.

Hi, nice colour! I've wanted to get a white S3 at first but ended up getting the grey one. As for running in, i just ride normally but paying more attention to the rpm rather than the speed. I try not to drag at 8K for too long. My S3 doesnt seem to go beyond 80km/h that easily. Have to push it harder to hit 100. Might be due to me running on lower tyre pressure.

Hi All

Been off line for a while, but its really nice to see that so many people have taken up this great bike.

So my update is:

Running up the km's nicely now, and the engine has really loosened up. The torque is still there but the bike really picks up pace quickly now.

I have to eat a bit of humble pie as on a recent run across the border the bike got to 135km (revs around 10.5) and sat there very happily. It was a little breezy and possibly with no wind may get a little more. I originally was skeptical that the bike would get to 125.

The only reason I didn't take it any further is my lack of confidence in the stock tires (will change in about another 1k) If anyone has any suggestions as to a good set of booties for the bike please let me know.

The only recurring problem I have is the speedo light and its on one day, off the next day. Its not a major issue though if I'm honest.

The final surprise was that even though I tend to sit at 110-20 regularly now, it still manages 28-30km/l on 98 RON.

Still considering the K&N though... so tempted :)

Just don't over stress the engine too long and too much. If you're feeling rich, have the engine oil changed in shorter intervals which helps clearing the machining dust/metal debris blah blah blah in the new engine.
