washing the chain with the kerosene and diesel is just to remove dust particles between the joints in ur chain..

as desewer as said.. it will also wash away ur lubrication..

so please rem to lub it back..

btw what side effects ppl told u? i tink they are refering to using strong solvents to clean ur chain.. these strong solvents can eat up ur O-ring chain..

If you're looking for a cheap lube solution, then try this.

1. Get a mineral water bottle, the 500ml type.

2. Drill a small hole in the cap, enough to fit in a 8mm rubber hose? Those small type for fish tank also can.

3. Fit a 2-inch-long rubber tube into the hole and silicone it in place.

4. Fill the bottle with cheap 2T oil ($5/litre)

5. Voila! A home-made chain oiler.

To use, just drip some 2T from the bottle onto parts of your chain. If got main stand even better.

I used this simple DIY setup for my small bike last time.

Yup... the Singer oil used for sewing machines.

Anyway my 2T oil dripper bottle was really useful... till now I use it sometimes on my dad's Wave 125...

e singer oil bottle.. can buy from hardware shop tink $1 or $2.. empty one.. den fill wif 2T or gear oil... easier than e DIY bottle.. easier to use.. and less messy also..

or u wan a slightly better one.. next time go motodiam, see e one mechanic use.. it's a metal btl.. wif a rubber tube where e oil exits.. u release e oil via a 'trigger'.. better to use.. but more expensive.. tink it's call a oiler hand.. dunno how much..
