This is interesting.....

From MCN:

June 14 2005

Bikers are healthier

New research has found that bikers are a lot healthier than the average person, with only a minority thinking about lighting up a cigarette when they take off their crash helmet.

Insurance company Choice Quote gathered the data from over 60,000 motorcyclists over the last three years and it shows clearly that only 5 percent of riders are smokers compared to a national average of 26 per cent.

The news follows on from the story published in MCN last month, which showed that biking itself is actually good for you.

Riding relieves stress and makes you happy by releasing endorphins in to your brain, riding a twisty road for an hour can burn over 350 calories and the movements you make on a bike are actually good for strengthening you back muscles – reducing the chance of injury.

So, the moral of the story:

smoke = not good http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/99smoke.gif

ride bike = good http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/ricky.gif

smoke + ride bike = break even http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrinbounce2.gif

wanna loose weight + keep fit = kup corner more ofen

Perhaps Muscle man in skimpy tongs who resides at Temptation Alley in the Danger Zone can offer his assistance to maximise your current setup. But watch out for those "Chicks with Di*ks" who will come from behind and try to offer you a set of "Technoflex" instead. full of "U" off course. Grab hold of Jilat's (Y) and make a run for it...... and don't forget to kup corners at the same time...... http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif

hehehe, agree with the report b...u...t... I think it is subject to the bike you ride. If you are riding a bike that's problematic, without proper support or they ship spares using sampan, then the chances of getting heart attack and cancer will be 999% higher.

PL, know you will be PM me and I know what will be in your message. hehehehehe. :sorry: can't help it.
