Hi Mamat,

Does your ignition cuts off when the low battery light is on?

I used to have the symptoms that you have mentioned. It was due to a slipping alternator belt that was not charging the battery.

my battery light has lit up after couple of days of alternate blinking of the abs .guess time to get fresh batt.aaarghh gonna cost $200+ from pml :(

i learned u can finance a new harley thru Looi's motors.the boss says u pick the bike u want at HD and state that u wanna deal with him

harley does financing too... not a bad deal for new buyers...

boxer n beemer... hmmmm e beemer has a more comfortable riding position, higher top speed, n less vibration... i had a sportster n i dun really like it besides for the sound... cos it looks like a very loud phantom... therefore, if possible, i prefer to get the big twins.. whether soft tail, rdking or the v-rod.. i chose e rod cos it has the best acceleration n top speed.. quite fuel efficient too... just my 2cents ;p

Basically, any maintenance free battery with more than 19AH rating is ok to use.

BMW bike's are just bikes. Nothing too special about common parts such as the battery.

I just bought a new/unused R1100S rear wheel (5.5”X17) for my roadster. Next rear tyre change should have more choices from the 180/55-17 commonly available here

I paid US$375 (shipping by FedEx from top right corner to bottom left corner of United States included) for the wheel from a private seller. Cheap cheap right?

Was it difficult to get tyres for the original rims? It wasn't for me...maybe I stuck with Met Z6 all along..

Posted

I just replaced the rear one with Z6 too, not difficult to get at the moment. If the wheel of the bike can take 180/55-17, the choice of tyre brands and models is definitely more than the 170/60-17

Hi.. Need some advice from fellow riders. Found out that my rear tyre kena 'paku' / nail. I've already removed the nail.. luckily its not that long. I think my tyre tube has been spared lah. Im still monitoring my tyre pressure. What should I do rectify the situation and have a peace of mind while riding?

PEACE NO WAR

Watch the tire pressure and if it does not drop be happy because then you don't need to do anything.

REVERSE ROTATING ROTORS

My views on this:

Brilliant idea :clapping: but…

The writer quoted an example of huge force is needed to change the front wheel/bike direction at 120mph which he thinks is bad. But, who will yank the handle and flip the bike at that speed?

The added complexity and weight (unsprung + rotational) not justify the benefit of the counter rotational brake rotors.
