Actually I was at PITALand some weeks back. That was like some 9 months ago when I last visited him. The patrons there passed some comments like he's all changed now. He's turning into a workaholic now. Whatever it is I still love PITA. :cheeky:

We have to at least get the cable off from the hand lever side right? then use a cable lubricating jig to apply spray lube. I'm worried about the difficulty of re-installing the tab end of the clutch cable back into the slot on the lever.

The dry clutch of the R1100R requires considerable lever force.

Posted

I use this method on my other bikes.

Remove the level end of the cable (I would recommend removing both ends)

Tie a small plastic bag around the outer tube of the cable near to the end.

Spray your choice of cable lube into the plastic bag.

Fish the cable like you are fishing a tea bag (tiao hu)

Wait until you see clean cable lube flowing from the other end.

Done.

I just got this speed bleeder for the R1150R hydraulic clutch, got to bleed the clutch fluid one of these days.

F650GS is already in Performance Motors. One unit is available for test ride!

Not so sure if F800GS is going to reach our shores.

Hi all, I'm new here, just got a R1200gs ADV. Was wondering if any of you are experiencing a quirk with the fuel gauge? I fill up the tak and it reads full, ride fora week then it immediately jumps to half, ride some more and it jumps straight to reserve!!

Good news! Found out from a reliable source that the F800GS will soon reach our island..Can't wait to see the actual bike. It will be a HOT ride definitely! :D

yea its one of those things people dream of!

production should start in sep and the bike might be in sgp by dec or next year.. around 30k otr i guess..

irony is that pml has got the price of the 800 baby up on its website but not the machine yet in stock..

if i get it will definitely source for a 39L bigtank similiar to that being made by touratech for the 650gs. there are already racks and panniers plus other accessories for the 800gs already by touratech.

my only doubt is regarding the 850mm seat height...and think it will be the main obstacle to getting this bike. am only 169cm. =/

g650x, you're also planning to get the 800 ? the grey colour scheme would be my choice for sure.:)

Seat height not much of a problem la, I'm also only 173cm..just send to 3rd party to get seat cut and re-wrap to personal preference should do the trick. Oh btw,yes I heard also it will be in this DECEMBER. Silver will be limited quantities and definitely there will be after market accessories. It's an ideal midsize class Enduro bike from BMW finally... :bouncefire: :bouncefire:

yea. very ideal. the gs 1200 is way too heavy imo...

might get the touratech lowered seat. cant bear to cut and re-wrap the original bmw seat man.. "pain in the ass" for such an expensive machine dun u think? haha..

is it silver? looks more like grey alu colour!

gauge was full after top up, when I hit 160kms it jumps to the half indication.

When i hit 480 it jumps to reserve. no graduations in between. Anyone experiencing this as well :(

i am also experiencing this on my GS12 but i didnt do anything abt it.

i think denrick also has a similar issue on his K12 and he got it fixed at PML by replacing a strip-type sensor, if i remember correctly. i am not sure if the GS uses the same type of fuel sensor though.

if yours is under warranty, send it back for a look. if not, i guess u will have to rely on the distance calculations like me.

ah leong always say ... dunno? dont do!
