I had just ordered Centech Auxiliary Fuse Panels CEN-AP2 U$55 a few weeks back and is being brought in by a friend... I was not aware that there were other makers available, rgds

I only did a brief research through the internet and through the suggestions given on page 209. There should be other brands as well.

I chose the Blue Sea partly through reviews, and also because I like the fact that all the fuses are inside the cover, with nothing exposed. It looks big but that could be an advantage (easier to work with).

The Wunderlich TPS-15 is limited to 15 ampheres so it's out as I installed driving lights.

The Street Wires introduced by Phang looks solid but the casing looks like clear hard plastic which I am afraid may crack if dropped or if pressure is applied (since it is placed under the seat). Phobia?

Your AP-2 is slightly pricey but is small and handy.

The AP-1 seems pretty popular.

I have already ordered the Blue Sea. When both of us have had them installed, let's meet up and do a comparison.:thumb:

Hi Guys,

Anyone here interested to buy a GS800 Topbox Rack? I have one at home.

The rack fits the ADV topbox. Used only once. You may probably modify it to fit your bike. The alll famous Seng Kwang will probably be able to do it.

Letting it go for $120.

Let me know if any of you guys are interested. My contact: 94759900. :cheeky:

Hi Gabes... any photos... can it fit 1150 RT ?? rgds

Hi Spore,

The blue sea thing u got is really good. Guess it's best in the market. highly recommended in advrider.com. Waterproof and all. But I used to have on "bluesea" myself. self made but not by me. A friend who's interested in doing small projects like this did it and I was the lucky guy that got it for free.

Not sure if the rack can fit you RT, but I believe its possible to modify. This F800GS rack was custom fitted on a Mega before. :cheeky:

will post a pic when I am home. :dozed:

perhaps you want to try sticking on some tinted window film to complete the look.

should be cheaper than getting new winglets, i suppose.

Here he is again, asking for your help under a new nick. :)

If i were to purchase this windshield, my winglets will still be untinted, right? I can't seem to find tinted winglets that could go with the tinted windshields.

Coolcat, do you think Japanese makes better harness tape or the German? But I am sure your Nitto Denko tape (not the wires) will survive when your bike caught a fire. :thirsty:

Pass me some and I'll do a comparison. Stretch test, flame test, cat pee test .... :)

Serious, pass me some I'll test.

I was thinking maybe you can use the tesa tape to rewrap one section of the wires on your bike and see which tape last longer. How long (the tape) do you need? Remind me to pass you some the next time when we meet :thirsty:

Probably only about a metre or 2 to test. My bike's harness is all done, may try it on a friend's to see how.

BTW, found the cap nut; very blink item. cheap some more; like 60 cents for one, stainless steel.

Fish tank coming in today, will have to divert some time from bikes to fish tank. :)

Cheers

r u referring to the cap to cover the main nut on the telever A-frame? funny pml has no stock of it.i got the plastic one from Mtechnik for $1.

went down to pml couple of days ago to buy pivot bearings. Also asked for elastic straps to replace the worn ones in my system cases and a small bmw badge to paste on my grab handle but sadly they dont have these two.seems to me they dont prefer to keep stock the nittygritty items.i doubt they are sold out.ordering the above online would be pricey.

Ah… the telelever ball joint plastic cap. I have tried PML last year but was told not in stock.

No, not for this; it's for some other project of mine.

I order parts online; may be pricey but I am not getting very good responses from PML for buying parts for older bikes so I look elsewhere. Otherwise it was great to be able to just get them in Singapore.

Mamat, why don't try replacing the elastic straps with some from the local tailoring industry? I removed mine and use pannier liners instead; seems more tidy for me.

Cheers
