The previous owner of my bike fitted a throttlemeister, I guess I will never have a chance to use it.

its 550km home from the gelang patah mobil station....we will definately get a chance to use it if you ride her home. all we need is 2 stops and plenty of riding time!

first stop before arriving home will be gulam for the ayam goreng and a nice teh o limau ais followed by dinner at tai chong! LOL!!!!!

Guys... need ur help...

I remembered I ever browsed thru this section on how to make wiring on the battery neater, but could not recall what the gadget called?

As you know, we connect all sorts of gadgets onto the battery, i.e radios, IU...etc. Was wondering if anyone here is kind enough to give me some lead. THanks

Well, my bike has finally been rewrapped. Will post some photo of the fuse box installation later. Stay tuned...

As for what kind of currypuff... anything lah. I both also like.

Unless someone invent a healthy puff, then I will switch to those.

Want to go visit your hometown to try the water. Your hometown with a modest population already produced 2 fine intelligent well-built BMW riders. Looking to see if I can bottle the water and sell it to the BMW corporation :)

When you riding home, Phang? Cheo me la.

Cheers

I bought mine online from ebay. I think it cost 60 odd including shipping.

If you are interested in my model, google "ebay blue sea 5025" and choose the cheapest seller.

Hey cpuff... Thanx bro...

Actually I already bought the TPS 15. But found out it can't fit my space as I have a controller sitting nicely inside. I didn't get to see the actual size of AP1 till you forward those links. I think the AP 1 or AP 2 will sit nicely in there as it is much slimmer.

So... anyone here interested in TPS 15. PM me.

Btw, anyone here using remus collector/header on their GS? How was the decelaration popping like?

Any changes on the consumption?

Hi guys,

I intend to fix my gps cradle permanently on my handlebar. But i have 2 issues worth mentioning, and hoping that some bright and smart souls could advise me.

http://i49.tinypic.com/20sc9s0.jpg

1) Cradle cover

any way to prevent theft of this item? and also to cover it with something to prevent unwanted attention?

im currently thinking of putting over a hp cloth cover on it so that others would not notice that its a garmin product.

2) Extra cables

Now, how on earth and m i gonna keep these wires away from sight? Pretty long, thick and unsightly.

Ideas anyone?

I am using the Zumo 660.

The big knob is a security knob i bought. It replaces the normal knob that comes with the arm.

Have you tot of getting Touratech parts?

This is how mine look like...

As promised, some photos of my current cable setup.

The pic on the left is before the rewiring work. It was taken with my mobile at the last minute. I accidentally set it to the lowest setting so appologies for the lack of clarity. But I think you can make out the mass of wires from the alarm haphazardly tied together.

Previously, there were 4 or more connectors to the +ve and -ve terminals of the battery.

Problems:

1. Messy. Cables of different lengths snaking everywhere.

2. Once disconnected, e.g. when changing battery, I find it difficult to properly secure them back to the terminals.

3. Previous shops/owner didn't label them, so it's hard to tell which wire is for what. Worse, some are not color coded, so may accidentally connect to the wrong pole.

The last time a mech tried to install a new battery, a puff of smoke suddenly appeared . He said said he didn't touch anything, but some wires must have made contact somehow. This further persuaded me to tidy up the wiring.

With the fuse box, there are now just one main cable each to the +ve and –ve battery terminals, which is exactly what I wanted. I am also happy that Kim Keat uses heavy duty cables for these 2 connections. They look thick and strong. Unfortunately, it is still not as clean as I would have liked mainly due to the overly long and complex wiring of the bike alarm. In future, I may buy a smaller siren with shorter wiring from Sim Lim to further tidy up the connections. But I think you will agree that the whole setup is a great improvement.

Over the weekend, I will label each wire clearly to avoid any confusion.

Currently, there are four connections to the fuse box: IU, GPS, spotlight, alarm. There are 2 spare terminals for future gadgets.

I am also thankful that the mech made an aluminium plate holder that secures the fuse box to the bike's airbox. Otherwise, I would have to ask Seng Kwang to make one which, as everyone knows, will not be cheap. I have also requested that they rewrap the harness of the whole bike where needed and redo the spotlight connection. I can't verify how good the wrapping is without removing the tank but those parts that are visible look good. Finally, he charged much lower than I anticipated, considering how labour intensive this job must have been.

Overall, I must say that I am very satisfied with the work done, enough to give them a small tip. :p

I would have highly recommended the shop if not for one black spot. I waited nearly 3 weeks to get my bike back. So be warned…

Hi navigator,

This looks good. I especially like the inbuilt relay as it helps to simplify connection, particulary if you are considering multiple add-ons that require one. For my case, only the spot light requires a relay. You can see how big the thing is in the above photo. Imagine having to make room for a couple of them…

What I don't like is the price. At US$79.95, it's more than double the Blue Sea.

Also, having to unscrew two screws to remove the cover makes it (slightly) more inconvenient. The upside is it will not pop off accidentally.

The terminals are also very tightly packed together due to the small size. Can they accept accept fork or circle type connectors? (don't know the right names)

Expensive but I think well worth considering for the convenience of the built-in relay. Can you show us some pic of your setup?
