Thks for all the concerns! Hopefully, the TP will have a case against him so that i can have an advantage.

John, i doubt Chan can make it this Friday as he is leaving for a holiday on that night. Will only be back on Monday.

Now i can only hope that all the replacements parts can come in faster....

Hi,

anyone here have done a solo ride up Penang or thailand, and back? Is the navigation easy or challenging especially if I don't use map or GPS. would following the road signs good enough?

Would 2 days be enough to go up and come back?

Penang... wont nid any GPS. Easy and boring ride on the NSH.

When u mention Thailand, maybe u would like to indicate where exactly in Thailand.

Well, i guess for a start, Hatyai would be achievable right...

You mentioned Thailand I assuming is Hatyai.

If only two places for only 2days, better take Penang.

It is because if your bike fuel tank is not big enough or you are not a seasoned rider or you are not fast enough ...

The total time taken round trip is easily gonna take you 16-20hrs or more back to your sweet home door steps.

Including your sleep and spending time taking lunch and dinner

and some toilet business and packing unpacking and preparation to move off ...

You are down to not much time left ...

Unless your objectives is just all about riding ... :p

Yes Hatyai is what i meant, if indeed going to Thailand. Of course i would like to go as far north as the road can bring me, but for starter, i guess Penang or Hatyai should be a good warmup ride.

Im riding a RT, so i guess fuel tank capacity is not an issue, seasoned rider im not, and speed? hmmm... 160kmh can?

For now, My objective is really riding only, though i intend to plan a long trip up sometime later, and i dont intend to stop so often, unless for top up only. Meal wise, maybe i can get a quick bite at petrol stations or fast food rest, but being alone, safety is also another concern.

And last thing i want is getting lost, which i enquire, if im in NSH, getting up and down is easy as following road signs?

Thanks

Hi benz

Your RT will take you to places. You wont need any GPS to go to Hatyai. The road signs are clear enough otherwise you can rely on the locals to get to your destination. The NSH won't get you lost if you stick to the road signs. Hatyai wise, you'll manage and don't be shy to ask around for directions. Good luck and just enjoy the ride.

Hello fellas,

any RT1100 riders here who have a exhaust to sell? The inside of my exhaust (don't know how to describe the inside chamber) was "torn", thus creating a hole. The noise from the exhaust became so loud that sounded like a aftermarket one.

Anyone have a used one to let go, stock or aftermarket one, and good condition. Or maybe can recommend to me some metal shops to weld back the exhaust.

Thanks.

Hi guys... Need help here...my gs 1150 2002 is a PI bike...would it be ok if i

order fuel filter from pml? Any idea what the part number is so i can confirm?

Thanks guys!!

go to this website for the parts no.

http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/fiche.aspx

then go PML buy the parts. They will still sell you, no problem.

Or you can just go to PML and tell them the model and parts needed not necessary need parts number, they have parts catalogue over the counter.

Hope it helps
