Hi guys, a noob here. I am contemplating on the GS (mid life crisis)...the OTR price form PML appears tad high. Any advice? I REALLY want 1. I spent last few weeks mulling over the MS and the GS and decided the GS will probably be the better choice despite the MS's sexier appeal...

Good Choice and i love the bike...... this is after nearly 2years with it. If i get another, it will probably be a GS as well....

 

I am 6ft3 not many bikes can suit my size.

 

As for pricing, you can try other parrallel importers if you are not after PML's warranty and servicing...

Yeah it's a given if I went the parallel import way I'll be forsaking their warranty & servicing, I guess the real questios is:

 

1. are there guys out there capable of servicing the revamped bike? I was told there is NO ONE able to use their dignostics or software....

 

Any info will be depply appreciated. Thks!

Gs.... u will never regret it .Go for agent bike if u want a waranty and parrellel import if u willing to take the risk. Just my view.

Pay Alan of Perfection Motors a visit and see if he has the diagnostic tools. Looi Motors has BMW bikes for sale, I am not quite sure if the bikes are on parallel import or that they are distributing for PML.

 

The Multistrada is sexy, relative to the R1200GS, IMHO.

If i am in the market for a NEW bike it will definitely be the Ducati MS for sure.

 

In Korat(Nakhon Ratchasima) from 6 Sep till 7 Oct for work.

It's the wet season and it's been raining everyday since, if the rain is heavy the road in Korat city will be flooded.

Thai news have reported of roads in the North East & North West having landslides and wash out by heavy rains and the wet season should stop by end Oct.

Nah... unlikely i will head to Korat from BKK!!! I remem Korat well though. It broke down about 70km north of Korat.

 

Will probably head south all the way to SG once i collect it. Target to collect next fri. Keeping fingers cross. Enjoy your stay in Korat...

Yeah the closest thing is the GSA for me...... love the bike and no problems with it!! That's right.. i know Alan from Perfection Motors has the right tools for the job.

 

Otherwise from watching the Jim Von Baden's maintenance DVD is really tempting me to try my hand on wrenching this bike myself. All i need is the GS-11....

I know from Mr Lee of Looi's that he has an 30th anniversary GS coming in about a month's time. Not sure if that's been booked.

thks dude...I am so going down this w/e lo! but i don't need nor want the 30th anniversary edition la...just looks all wrong somehow...not sure why....colour scheme? maybe it' s just me............
