hi bro, is this the one from BMW?

If possible, do PM me a photo of the bag...

Hiya,

Yes, this is the official BMW bag. I had never taken pic of the bag, much less mounted it on my bike but it is NEW. Should be the same bag as this except that it is for 2008-on:

Stamford Motor is at #05-27 AMK Autopoint, a few doors down from Seng Kwang. Opens from 11 a.m. till about 8 p.m. Look for Alex, the boss, warlord, tyrant, emperor etc there. :cry:

Just spoke with him and he say tomorrow (27.6.2012) better.

Cheers

Today I took my 1st pillion. His feedback - Engine rough, gear change not smooth and clunky. Feels no acceleration. Seat not much better than FZ1 or S4....

what a letdown for me ... :p

yupz.... tempting... and thanks for Stamford Motor.... another place to service BMW bikes?

Haha .. I would not recommend that. :)

Anyone using a GS 911 or considering one for sharing?

GS-911 is a Diagnostic Tool for BMW Motorcycles - a specialized tool consisting of an intelligent electronic interface in combination with Windows PC software. Also available is mobile software for most mobile phones, including Blackberry and Windows Mobiles... This makes the tool portable enough to take on any trip.

What functionality does it have?

* Read Diagnostic Fault Codes

o This shows the Fault codes and text descriptions of the faults stored on the Electronic Control Unit.

* Shows ECU information

o See hardware and software versions, manufacturing dates, and other manufacturer related data.

* Clears Diagnostic Fault Codes

o Enables you to erase fault codes once the problem has been fixed.

* Real-time Analog and Digital values for Engine control units

o view and log the real-time values (very dependent on the type of controller)

* Service Functionality

o This differs from model to model and controller to controller, and ranges from Service Reminder resets, output tests adaptation resets etc.

Hi, my height is 1.6m and would like to get a hand on K1300GT. any suggestion how to lower the seat? can the front fork and suspension be adjusted lower to cater to my height? My concern is compromising the bike's performance.

Anyone has a lower seat (secondary) to sell?

Cheers

I have TKC80s on my 800GS - pretty decent for off road but not much to talk about on road - anything above 100kmh and its rough. Wet weather riding - stay away from white lines almost lost my rear first ride out after the rain. Currently on scorpions which are shitty off road but very decent on road. Highways @ 160-180 no issue at all. Still waiting to put on ContiTrailAttacks which is suppose to provide more rounded performance on and off road. will let you know how that goes. yeah - i have 3 sets of tyres....

Anyone install knobs tyres on their GS? Not full offroad knobs but knobs for semi-offroad. Something like Continental TKC80, Motocross, Metzeler Karoo-T etc etc..

Hows the handling on road? And if u have wet weather experience..

Thanks.

Thanks for the input dt99.. Seems TKCs' are a rather bad wet weather on road experience huh..well the knobs are pretty small in a way and i can understand the skids esp on a painted surface.

Nope, not a fan of scorpions cos YES they suck off-road. Let me know wat other tyres you have and how they perform.

Currently really looking at Metzeler Karoo T. Big knobs for off-road and seems pretty good on road as well esp wet weather.
