Ordering from Touratech is an interesting experience in itself :) Price is extremely competitive and may even better some other shops out there, but you got to wait.....

Anyone riding a K1600GT or GTL in this thread?

Let me share about the bike I have gotten from PML in Feb 2012.

View of the bike with top box included. It had since been removed as the 2 side panniers are sufficient enough for my daily ride

Accessories installed by PML

1. Japan Engine Guard

2. LED fog light

3. Top box with LED brake light

4. Side panniers protector

5. VStream touring windshield

6. BMW alarm system

Legal Remus exhaust system installed by Motoworld (Probably the first and only legal exhaust installed on a GT). See the difference between originial and Remus

I love the look and set my eyes on the GT while shopping for a GS800 bike in PML. Took me a while before deciding on GT as I wanted a bike that can be use for touring and commute daily. The GT present itself as a big size machine but yet easy to ride between traffic. More importantly that it resemble our uncle SAM bike from far.

Another point scoring that sold me is the technology that had been heavily place on the K1600 which includes ABS, Traction control, riding mode, Adaptive headlight that enhance safety. The engine of 6 inline is extremely smooth and probably on par in term of engine smoothness with the Honda GL1800 engine but in a different bike category.

Singapore Goldwing Owners Group is now in facebook http://www.facebook.com/GoldwingSG

Now own only BMW K1600GT and Ex rider of Honda GL1800, Yam GTS1000, Yam Fazer 1000, Kawa GPZ400 , DukeSS400,Kawa ZXR400....and more to come

No, apparently they import from Germany and the 19% VAT is taken off. I'm not sure if we import ourselves, if it will be cheaper though. Anyone with experience buying direct from Touratech Germany?

Hi guys,

I know the issue of servo brakes have been brought up previously but can't seemed to find any info on brake lines replacement. Any suggestions for shops who can change a r1150rt brake lines to SS and yet has the expertise to handle this brake system? Appreciate any input from anyone as my ride is 10 year old this year. Time to spend $$ again...*sigh*, but for safety as I read of many oversea cases of ruptured factory brake lines. Thanks!

I did post earlier in the previous page that I Last ordered a GPS Holder for my Zumo660 directly from Touratec Germany.....I paid through Paypal and all went well and I received the item in good time. Cheaper? Yes by so much even with the shipping cost. However, a extra letter came together telling me that for future orders please go through the singapore agent which i also provided in my earlier post. Rajeh Checked and at the end also landed with PML. So, PML is the agent I think.

You can try like me and pay thru' paypal and see their reply lar! Good Luck :thumb:

Hi there is a topic on the F800GS > http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/323250-BMW-F650GS-Dakar-BMW-F800GS/page34

As for PI & PML, example as in the warrenty 2 years from PML. any recall no issue. If PI bike break down n need PML to service = No service unless pay a fee of 5K non refund. Some say outside workshop no issue servicing BMW, some say got issue. up to you to find n think tru.. From what i know some PI bikes do not come with some item eg. mainstand, onboard computer.. ... So do understand more before commit.

I just came back from munich and bought some stuff from touratech Munich, they dont have any tax free set up. U will be paying for local vat, when u buy at their shop.

For bmw motorrad Munich, they r not linked with global blue or premium, u will need to get the custom stamp and mail ur bank details back to them for $$ tax refund. Troublesome.

Just to share.

Contact Joseph of BikeLab, I think he still makes customised brake lines.
