Hello PL, its called the left hand throttle body cable. From the pic, seems like your clutch cable is sticking out but the lockring and adjustor are missing.

Hi boon16, it's my spare. Thanks anyway. My clutch is still working, my radio and lights are still working, and the choke cable is still in place. And I called PML to check with them already.

BTW, why is it called "throttle body cable" when the throttle is on the right side?

You seem knowledgeable. You own a BM or going to get one soon?

Don't think it's standard. I think owner themselves have to asked for one to be left there. In my case, probably my prev owner did that. Suzu mentioned he did that for his old GS as well. Don't ask me how to connect it man, got spare cable for me also useless. I wouldn't know where to 'stick' it in. hahahaha

tt's very interesting, hmmm, may be i should follow. good idea. bring yr "airfrieght" manual when travelling and when it happens (touch wood), you will be so despeerate to anyhow gasak it in, not a difficult job lah, don't forget to grease it 1st. Ya, talking about greasing, TECHNOFLEX supplier told me he has this cable oiler thingy, wonder has he found it.

sdr & PL ,1100s owners normally juz tie a spare clutch cable next to the exsisting 1 juz in case it snaps n theres a spare 1 ready n juz next to it juz need to unlock the nuts holding the old 1s n put in the new 1s ;)

best is to oil the spare 1 1st then cover the ends with a small plastic bag to prevent rain or other water frm seepin into the spare cable. alternatively u can use a vespa throtle cable to do the job temporarily but thats another story ;)

saw it on the magazine many times, ever order once but never receive it. wonder if it's my credit card fault or they don't deliver to spore, anyway, they didn't deduct $ on the CC. was talking to Chua and he told me he has a few, but no market in spore. he kept it somewhere in the shop but don't know where.

GSGABE, yours is too "BIG", I prefer the single screw - smaller one, the "BIG" one very difficult to go in between the leg - I mean throttle cables, I don't know about "YOURS", mine has 2 cables, they are close to each other and if I dismantle them, the front brake pump is the main obstruction. Further, under the fuel tank, you will discover the 2 cables actually link to a body (wonder if they call that the throttle cable body) that separate the 2 cables to the left and right carbs and I think that 1 need to be greased as well.

Suzuki Finally Ready To Produce Boost King?

Suzuki Boost King Concept - 2001 Tokyo Motor Show

Nearly four years ago, we reported on a stunning concept of a hyper-powerful naked bike developed by Suzuki. It was known as the Boost King, and was displayed at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. Our reader reaction to the concept was overwhelmingly positive.

There are now reports that Suzuki is nearly ready to introduce a production version of the Boost King... without the boost. Likely to feature a normally aspirated 1300cc Hayabusa motor, rather than the turbo engine used in the concept, it will still pack plenty of punch for naked-bike enthusiasts. If it shows up as a 2006 model from Suzuki, expect an announcement in the September time-frame.

Makes me wonder if the K1200R has anything to do with it http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif
