If the battery voltage is below 12 volts... there may be starting problems. The starter motor takes away alot of the power from the battery during starting... not enough left for the spark plug to ignite.

 

You could have push start the bike but instead of just releasing the clutch to try and start the bike in 2nd gear.. hit the starter button at the same time. The bike might start then coz there is no load on the starter motor during a push start.

 

Raptor, u mentioned if the batt produces less than 12v during start, it is difficult to stt. My bike produces 11 point smtg volts when i turn on the ignition. It cranks but is v hard stt every morning. That said, i have no problems starting my bike wen its alrdy warmed up eventhough it gives the same voltage. Is this a batt problem? If it is, why isit easier easier to stt wen warmed up eventho a voltmeter shows 11 point smtg?

Not legal bro! Lol. The question is, is a full system even legal? I know big bikes with fs are not legal. The other time i got stopped by lta, he asked me wether my exos is fs or slip on. So its a question mark for me. Im guessing its legal but a mix and match header is certainly not legal. Tho i dont think they can tell the diff. Unless of cos its a powerbomb header.

 

Thanks for replying bro. The reason im asking is because my delta end can is really driving me nuts..first was where the end can connects to the midpipe, the rivets keep breaking, sealed it back with extra big rivet..problem solved.

then was thinking of being more LTA friendly, so put the street legal silencer in, all good..until this time, due to the choke in the exhaust i guess, the rivet on the end cap side became loose...sh!t...now back on using non street legal silencer...or actually, no silencers at all..sigh..thinking of using LV x3 end can...hmmmm...?

Hmmm.. I was thinking he meant 12v ignition on.

Guys, I'm thinking of converting my original rims to use tubeless tires & to install a kick starter. Any workshop to recommend and any estimated price? Thanks in advance.

There's a kit called Outex made in Japan. Purpose made for tubeless conversion. Not sure which shops can do it locally bro. Unique? Or those big shops with manpower and time to spare.

hey guys..i really needs help here..ive bought a used drz and fixed it with LV pipe..but i cant get the pipe to do inspection as im not using a stock mudguard that result in my number plate to be faced upwards..Are there any ways u seniors can advice to me on how i can get the inspection done..do i die die must get a stock mudguard or theres anyway i can get the number plate to face straight and get the pipe inspected for cert?..please help!..very urgent!!

Must the owner be there or can you just ask those shops that does inspection to do for u?

hmmm...last time i rode my husky, i bought a pipe for it and went for pipe inspection with a fender eliminator and went thru without any issues..i mean pipe inspection they only check my pipe, other tthings they dun bother..maybe just my luck..

I dont think the way ur number plate faces matters in an exos inspection. I did mine with an aftermarket rear fender without mudguards and "facing the sky". Didnt say a single thing abt it.

I went to STA at boon lay for inspection and the guy says he take pic of my pipe frm the bck cannt see my mumber plate..thats why cannot pass..maybe i suey get so strict one..

Maybe that's side got LTA officers? Seen LTA riders escort cars/bike to that centre before.

That is total bull. Lol. I have seen myself the photo of my exos taken by vicom. Lta officer showed me when i was stopped. No no plate in view. I think the photo taken fm thr back is for silencer. Try vicom kaki bukit. No nonsense. But of cos i cant guarantee anytg.

Yeah bro. For real. Lol. 2 months back. On the way to work in the morn. Stopped. Escorted. Clementi area alot of lta officers in the mornin. Worked ard there for 1 year + seen lta bikes at least 5 times. Lol.

STA Boon lay siao on. I went there with my previous bike my bulb was yellow but the guy insisted that it is white just because of the blue coating on the bulb. Just go other inspection centre.

 

I did my DRZ at STA Ayer Rajah with number plate slanted(not facing upwards) pass easily, too bad STA Ayer Rajah has closed.

anyway, my last inspection the vicom guy has great issues with my brembo calipers and rotors. he said that these can't pass..i found it hard to understand!!

 

he also had these picture library of illegal mods in his comp and was going through every nook and cranny of the drz..i was getting very frustrated but managed to keep cool. purposely trying to make life difficult..oh well, everyone has a job to do.

 

just for sharing..

quite rubbish..then if stock rotors goes kaput we must pay top dollar for another stock rotor? cannot go for aftermarket? as long they test our brake and its working as it shuld, y wuld they pick a problem on us..like only drzs using aftermaket rotors that are actually better than stock..i feel u man..hah..

I think it has come to a stage that it is not whether the modification improves safety. But the rules are made just to do that, to see if there's any modification done at all, without due concern of the nature of such modification.

Like what have been said.Got cheaper and better alternative but that's considered Modification.

Just like the LED signal light, some bros here say they're Considered illegal by law. But c'mon la, illegal in what way? Trying to make ourselves more visible is safer but illegal?

Btw, the slogan for many a construction site should now read "the safest way is the best way..but it's illegal" so pay with your wallet, or pay with your life...
