Not solved bro. I tried changing once but sound still comes back. Dunno wats wrong already.

Is it brake squeal? Under medium braking and goes away under hard braking?

had squeking brakes for awhile too, but friend recommended me cleaning my disc brakes(the holes). Used a tiny cloth to go through ahah and the noice goes away. but comes back after awhile -.- so have to do it a every few washes lol hopefully it helps ya bro!

Depends on what brake pads you are using.

Brake squeals come from brake dust... its the accumulation of the brake dust on the pads that cause the resonance to start resulting in squealing brakes. If you have paid attention to lorries or buses coming to a stop... you would have heard the same thing.

All you need to do is to throw water on your brake calipers to wash out the brake dust or use a brake cleaner spray.

Don't you all ever notice that brake squeals disappear when you are riding in the rain and appear when the weather is hot and dry??

The other option is to use high quality ( read as expensive) brake pads which have lesser asbestos compound in them which cause the squealing.

I encounter tis prob when using Oem brake pads, tot it was the brake pads issue. Change to EBC brake pads and no sound. After a while it comes back again.

Sound comes out during medium and hard braking, especially from high speed trying to slow down. Now when I wanna stop at traffic light hav to brake from far distance wit light to medium intermittent braking. Ignit it will b v noisy like wat raptor says, lorries or buses stopping.

Will try wat u Guys suggested. Cleaning my disc brakes and pads area.

I just got my jet done at raptors recently now around 23km/l. FCR, Hotcams LV X3 with silencer in. Previously was running lean for the last 8 months. Lol. Mileage 25km/l.

If you can DIY. maybe can try chamfering the sides of the pads? Just a thought. And grease the back of the pads where the piston contacts them.

The trouble with you guys is you guys add a whole bunch of keys with your ignition keys. Some of you carry more keys on the bunch than the warden of Alcatraz prison.

The weight of the keys combined with the bouncing of the road will cause the ignition key to become loose in the slot that it sits. And the next problem you will face is the ignition inadvertently going to the "OFF' position while you are riding.

Can you all just keep one key on the keychain just for the bike??? Seen too many of such cases already.

DRZ is a problem free bike.. its the riders that cause all the problems.

  • Thanks 1

icic. but mine has only 2 keys on it @.@ the ignition and the handle-lock key. think there are chances it might still go to the off position?
