For me was because I don't want the feel of sudden loss of tire pressure when a nail punctures the tire. Thats my only reason for conversion. Using an established kit of course.

 

They say it lightens the unsprung mass but who can feel that. Lol

The difference between stock rims and Marchesinis is 3 seconds off the lap times at Pasir Gudang track due to its gyroscopic effect. The DRZ is able to hold a tighter line through the corners at high speeds.

 

When you kick the **** outta of the 400cc sportsbikes in the corners.... its worth every cent to me.

Last few pages got similar problem. Most probably carbon brush or coil or battery itself.

The batt is sotta under the seat. Anyway if u can't start, don't try till it drains out. Push start it and ride to Seng, Magix, abboy, Bikeworkz, Raptor to sort it out.

If drained out u gotta spend toll fee for bike, taxi fee for yourself home. The mechs I mentioned are central, north, south, east, west respectively.

If need to push start. Key On, engage second gear, clutch in, run along with te bike, release clutch, once the bike starts remember to clutch in again and then hold the throttle open to help in the cold start. Walla.. Push start done. All the best.

Ticking sound is from the starter relay.. meaning that your start switch at the handlebar is OK, the KILL switch is OK. Nothing to do with battery, rectifier or coil.

 

Most probably the starter carbon brush is worn and need to be replaced.

 

Understand the basic principles of the ignition system and nobody shop can carrot you.

 

Talk to me personally, not here.. I will teach you all you need to know about the DRZ.

Hi zee rider. Recently my tail light doesn't light up when key on. But if I apply brake. It still light up normal. I suspect it could be my battery weak. Tat cause this. Had any 1 expernce this before, can advise. Y I think battery weak cos. even I dun key on n I put my cashcard in my iu, it take longer time to flash out the amount. So ya , dun think is. Wire problem leh, how ah guys!? Hmmm

Nothing to do with your battery. Battery weak.. bike won't even start.

Hi bros I have a problem earlier today my drz was in good working condition, suddenly just now my bike can on like normal but when I press on the ignition, theres a thump sound from my batt compartment and the whole lights and electronics off and I can't press anything, anyone encounter this problem before I need help!! It will destroy your front suspension... overheating is the least of your problems. The DRZ front forks and steering cone bearings were not designed to take that kind of load,

1. If u want to go for range, IMHO drz isn't for u.. For me, to put a 28l tank upsets the whole handling of the bike and in the end, you don't feel the agility of an SM.

 

2. I'm using H&B explorer 45l, bought it without much thought. Now I only install the box when I need to carry stuff. Most of the time I ride without. Why..? With the box, the bike is hard to handle around tight corners. That's why I mentioned (1). If you really need one, I would suggest a light weight plastic kind of box, available from Givi right thru H&B brands.

i dun feel the handling compromised for my hnb alu box..not as big as the 45l tho..

but i resprung and rebuild the front fork and rear suspension to my weight plus overkill abit due to pillion.

Hi guys I want to highlight 2 things

 

1stly. I understand that there are 2 mouths for the engine oil. Earlier this month while I was riding halfway, i started to fishtail. I was at about 50 to 60. I was shocked because I wasn't travelling fast . Then came a traffic light. I stopped. I fish tailed again when I was moving off. So i figured something was wrong. I stopped at the side and realised my engine oil was flowing. It was coming out from the front mouth nearer to the fender. So i had it towed. Anyone has encountered the same problem. I was pretty worried it will happen again after that. It's especially dangerous if that happened on the high way.

 

Secondly. Recently my bike chain keep on rattling on the frame

Is that normal? Supposed to have a rubber on the swing arm is it? My rubber is gone. But the thing is. My chain is not slacked. Its normal. Any advice? The chain rattled on the frame until on of the metal parts that was supposed to support the rubber I think, is about 1 fifth gone. Thanks bros for reading.
