Will try checking clearance between grip and hand guard. If still cannot then find u adjust throttle. Later I throttle constant WOT then die liao. Thanks!

That's why most carbs today come with 2 cables.. one for pulling the slide open and the other to close it... to prevent a stuck throttle situation.

But there are some people who intentionally remove or disconnect the return cable on a carb that has the provision for it.

Why?? Only the Man upstairs and the owners themselves know.. to me its really suicidal.

  • Thanks 1

Ahhh... Now I know. Thanks.. Have been wondering why two cables... Turned out it might have been the grip rubbing the hand guard.

Maybe cos the cable made of steel? Removed to save weight!

U can go to Raptor MotorSports if u want, there's an uncle that u can talk to. DRZ, service, repairs, track, race, talk cock, beer, and anything under the sun.

Alright thanks! Meanwhile can i ask, how do you guy bring your bikes to the track for trackdays? Do you guys ride there or get a van to transport it?

Hi guys. How do you all lubricate your clutch cable. Mine gets a bit stiff after a while. What are the symptoms that calls for a change?

Life is full of regrets but riding has never been one.

The clutch cable is made of braided wires running in a plastic conduit. When the individual wires within the conduits start to break or fray, the broken wires start to rub against the plastic conduit... hence the added friction and resistance.

This is when the clutch lever feels very stiff.

I see. I haven't changed mine since the last year of riding it. I guess it's time to change then. What's the rough cost?
