This is looking bad...... less than 1 yesr old bike and having sudden death syndrome.....

Without further description of the syntoms, it'll be difficult to pinpoint the cause of the sudden engine stall problem.

A few things can lead to the engine stalling :

1) Electrical failure

2) Ignition failure

3) Fuel starvation

If you can describe any symtoms before the bike stalls, it can be helpful to solve the problem.

Any modifications to the bike that can affect the electrical system?

Fuel level of the bike when the bike stalls?

Any change in spark plugs or servicing done before the bike stalls?

The problem is there is no symptoms. Haha. Fuel is half when it happened. My bike is completely stock. Just did a full service over e weekend with my first spark plug change. Will have to monitor for the time being.

Hi everyone, I'm selling my 1 yr 6mths old SYM GTS 200 (FBJ ****C) due to my upgrade to 4 wheels. Bike manufactured on 2014, registered May 2014. Bought at ard $11,600. Willing to let go at $8,500. When i buy automobiles, i hope the dealers/sellers will be honest, so i will be an honest seller here as well.

Here's the Condition of the bike:

The current mileage is around 23000+km. Engine & all the mechanical & electrical components are good. Exterior now is however kinda little dirty with a few scratches and exhaust with some spot rust(i checked before, no issue, not need waste money to remove the rust). Engine oil changed at every 4000km ( no joke i abit kiasu), gear oil change at every 6000km. For engine oil i use motul 4T 10w40 ($33 per bottle - damm ex) and gear oil i use Total Hi-Perf Gear Oil 80w-90 ( bought 5litres bottles). Oils change i do it myself. Air filter, spark plug, belt & roller, U shoe, changed at 13,000km at the Official SYM Service Centre Nan Wah Motor Co. @ AMK Industrial estate there ( the boss is a friendly uncle can't remember his name). Tire & brake pads changed at 18,000km at same place. No accidents/crash before. Free 6 mths road tax (Road tax paid till May 16). Initially didn't want to sell as my plan was to utilise both the car & bike for different occasions. But i realised that i'm really not utilising the bike much or in fact not using it at all since having my car- had been sitting in the carpark for 1 month already, and once every week i have to go start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to prevent the engine from becoming 'cold'. The bike also includes a Kappa rear box and 2 givi side saddle bags ( abit dirty though).

The bike itself is a comfortable ride, especially good for long rides. Fuel consumption is very good imo ( full tank 12 litres i can go around 360km, i pump shell 98). Crusing speed is ard 80 to 120km/h (usually on expressway i'll maintain 100 to 110km/h which is comfortable). Acceleration is very responsive as well ( usually traffic light i will be the first to zoom off lol) It is easy to control & manoeuvre, just that becos it is a little bit wider than other bikes, when going in between cars requires slightly more skill :) which you will learn and get used to it as what i did. It is very reliable as well. Now what i didn't like much is the vibration of the engine - especially during pick up. But you will get use to it as well. I've also learnt a way to reduce and control the vibration of the engine by using the throttle ( i'll teach you :)). For full specification of the bike i think you can easily find it online, so i won't be posting it here.

PM me for more details. Both individuals & dealers welcome. Thanks.

Since I have personally owned and ride a Piaggio X8 and X9 , fuel consumption is definitely a major advantage.

mostly is

every 15000km full service around - $350

every 3000~5000km change engine oil - $35

the rest like tyres and brake pads all these depends on personal riding style but its not expensive to replace
