wow, u r my qian bei liao. in 1994?? I still a student shooting air rifle only....

No big deal lah. Younger ones are better shots then us old rusty shooters.

I shot shotgun/clay/traps during one of the SRA Fun Shoots at CCK Range.

Went home with enough blue blacks on shoulders, that I dont dare to really do it anymore.

We had a couple of shooters with us in SBF. Just maybe they gone low profile or focus on others stuffs already.

i juxt have an accidently..hurt my ankle and knee...

movement limited...have to wait till i recover...

:sian: my heart always sink whenever i saw a bike accident. Not to mention hearing a fellow biker got accident. Hope u recover soon. :pity:

Do consider wearing full face helmet, mesh armoured jacket , leather gloves, knee & shin protectors , touring boots like i do, when i travel to & from work amidst heavy traffic. Its not costly if buy 1 item every 1-2 months.

There is a couple of Airsoft Shooting range.

Airsoft Asia is with the community centres, so they can arrange for shoots in various CC.

Recently, they are more focused on training with schools, youth groups & corporate events. So I cannot say for sure where their ranges are nowadays.

It used to be Bishan CC at their underground bomb shelter & Telok Ayer CC. Then its moved to Sembawang CC & geylang serai cc.

Thanks for the info. Searched the web for info on airsoft, the type of guns used ranged from those look like real guns, to those that looks futuristic. I would like to own one of that futuristic one in above pic. The airsoft website is http://airsoftasia.com/ps.html

I certainly hope its legal to own one of these futuristic airguns which doesn't look like a real gun on the streets.

I'll probably pay a visit to that beach road army market this sat & find out more details. Its interesting to know they have 3 types of gun: spring, electric & compressed air. The last one is most powerful & longer range.

thanks for the concern, much better alry...

its one of those times where u think u only have to travel a while to pump

petrol etc. and thus neglect the use of safety equipment..

so my advice is that at least a jacket and shoes even if it is short distance..

slippers are a strict NO NO..

today i went to the beach road army market #02-170 to check out the BB guns & stuff. The price range for spring type pistols (all plastic) is $38 to $200 onwards, and the pellets (orange) cost $18 for 1 packet (maybe 150 inside). The white pellets (heavy type) cost $38 for 1 pkt.

They dun sell the CO2 or the electric type BB Guns- its illegal because their power & range is much more. But the CO2 type are still available in those Airsoft shooting practises only.

Btw, I checked with a friend about the prices, he told me those pellets & BB guns can be bought 3 times cheaper in hatyai.

Just so you know. a young man was on MSN just mid week and was asking for help. He was arrested at the ariport and placed in locked up for 1 day+ for smuggling in a broken up into separate pieces airgun in his luggage.

He flew from Hongkong to Singapore. He purchased the pistol in HK, break it into segments and wrapped in clothing in different compartments of his bags.

He is currently waiting for the IO to formalise the charges and on bail.

his pistol must surely be the CO2 type & secondly, it probably looks exactly like a real gun.

But the airguns selling in beach road is all spring type with plastic body. The shop keeper says they're actually toys & perfectly legal.

I dunno the difference between spring type gun (sold at the shop) & spring type airsoft gun. Maybe need to call the shop up & double check.

Must make sure they're the same & perfectly legal before ordering.

Actually i thought of getting the spring airsoft gun below. Spring type with 20 rounds magazine, laser sighting & shoots 200fps. I guess 200fps means it can shoot 200 feet. The price? Only US$10.97 !

The main website below has actually so many type of spring airsoft gun; which they classified as "toys". At least 2 with laser sights. All so much cheaper than the beach road shop.

Hi tt, I've went to the sites you mentioned.

As much as I know, the ones you liked, are still illegal for purchase, shipment or sale to Singapore, unless you have the licence which the shop keeper does.

I am not sure whether the rules has laxed. You might want to check with the Singapore Licencing Department located at Police Cantonment Complex Block A #02-00 & the Singapore Custom. I think the Customs side has a small office at the side of the Singapore Post to make sure its okay to order and ship in.

Or....you might just have to order them thru the army market shop for display at home.

For shooting sports, it does not beat gas propelled bbguns.
