i have a Givi E45 simply for sale...its top is wrap with pvc leather skin...all in black colour...comes with a back rest for yr pillon...selling at $120 firm...(fyi my pvc leather skin wrap cost me $60 liao)

aikon, i am in abt the side bracket cuz box is different price depend on how many litre 33 or 30 n etc?

 

seven, replacement for oem not to sure but got k & n $80 plus but chokes for vara 125 like daniyal bike, more over it needs special chemical to service unlike the original one water n blow dry...hehehe!

smicerboy i want ya beautiful top box....i will meet up wif u after work around 3pm....cheers mate...

 

happy125 u can join the bracket mass order n whoever juz add on cuz stock comes 16 jan but i didnt see ya juz now at adam food corner....

By the way...regarding the meter problem...Just wanna do some survey...For all the VaraDizz that have the meter problem...emmmm....do you cover ur bike or parked it under shade?...

 

As from what i ask around...if u have LCD screen..direct sunlight might cause some problem to the LCD screen and as the milage has got something to do with the distance you travel....

 

(in which u need the speedometer to calculate ur speed and speed link to the RPM..maybe thats why it has that problem...)

 

(ask around with a few bikers which i saw covering thier meter with cloth when they parked under the sun...the reply is something like that lah...they got LCD screen too....) :confused:

Just to add on and also ponder......

 

Is really mileage the main factor?? Let's do some trace back.

 

1. When does it happen?? In terms of mileage and in terms of age of bike.

2. How did it happen?? Is there any symptoms??

3. What did you do to the bike?? Spray/Hose wash your bike?? Additional electrical mod??

 

By gathering these info, may help to identify the likely cause then we can zoom into the root cause.....Hope I am talking sense.....

for my bike, there is no Mod...on the bike.. ever.. just that.. i do not cover the bike...(a year after i got it) i realize the problem started then...

 

 

for new year plan....

 

1) ride to GP (petrol) have dinner..... and count down new year there..

2) ride to GP (petrol) maybe dinner then off to east coast... (or any happening places) to see count down..

3) stay at home... relax and watch count down on ty...

Your bike first hand, rite?? Have you noticed the mileage when incident happen??

 

For me, so far for three years, I have not faced such problem (Thank God!!!!).... but I have the habit of covering my bike(since day one) at my MSCP and I park at covered car parks whenever possible. And I try not to ride in the rain or jet spray the bike.

 

Let's see how the others respond to this. Then, maybe we can "investigate" from there. Hope to be able to help solve this "mystery"

daystar, your case... or rather your bike cannot be used to assess the problem as

1) u park ina covered car park..

2) u use the bike mainly on weekends..

 

thus ur vara.. wah.. dammm good condt... very pampered..

 

mine... non covere d carpark... since day 1...

i actually noticed it.. like 1 1/2 yrs... after i got the bike...

so far mine.. is ok lah...

 

it goes crazy when i start up the bike 50% of the time... then after 3-5 min it functions properly....

 

and it will work the entire way.. till i go home...

but usually in the morning and usually after rain, or on cold morning, i notice this funny erratic behavior..

 

but im still lucky.. as my time, trip, temp.. all still work...

speedo inside got ghost hibernate lah cuz dat time go 2 state cemetry, mine become ok i tink i sent da spirit home oredi......hehe!

btw i kept my bike in multi storey, my work underground car park

always pump tire, lub chain, grease clutch, amour all it to clean, use ron 98, put stp oil n petrol additive, warm up etc.....enjoys ah.....!

understand the intrest in side pannier here, hehe want to take this chance to take out my side pannier rack like the one in the picture to sell, anyone intrested??? I am selling for $100, I think I bought it for $170. Reason for selling, cos I am using a wingrack now. But pls note that after you bought the $100 rack, you will notice the space between the rack and your bike on each side will be too far, which looks pretty awful.( To me that is) Whereas if you put on a wing-rack, the gap is very little, and look more compact.
