believe this must be discussed before somewhere. But I just couldn't find it. browse thru first 50+ pages of this thread, given up

It's a common problem with 2002 and b4 vara 1k. Soft rear suspension. Is there any reliable shop to revalve? Besides the one near bradell road. I want the revalve to last. If not, maybe considering Ohlin. Any experience, good or bad, please share with me.

v125 suspension soft? den increase da preload setting; higher harder, lower softer....my bike always has panniers on den carry alot of groceries n fu plate but suspension solid bebe?

pg> suggestion to u is change the rear. No point do revalve or servicing. As the carp suspension is not worth it.

Get an aftermarket piece like Technofle or ohlins.

As for experience regardng Ohlins, never heard of any VARA bros using it , so far.... very rare ...But comfirm 100000x better than original.

As for technoflex, quite a number using it. Positive feed back, comfirm plus chop improved handling.

btw technoflex is customed made, u need to send ya approx weight + pillion + box loads + environment of riding....hehehe! ohlin is different from wat i saw in shops....

Any of you are doing respraying on their bike? As I went to Ah Kun, he got no confident in doing my bike and quoted me $370.00 for 1 colour.

Simone or newsuit, heard that you are respraying your vara. Can I know which shop & the price?

Thanks for sharing brothers! To clarify, it's varadero 1000cc suspension soft, heard from few friends that it's an inherent problem with the original shock. Also heard that someone do the revalve and it last for another 70,000 km, still ok. But some revalve last for few month kaput liao.

I'm sure many vara 1000 rider here face this problem. Ohlin is good, but cost around $1,600. Revalve probably cost around $300+. The question is which shop can do a good revalve work?

Brothers>>> Wow!...it was a huge turn up yesterday...The response and the support is very good...so keep it coming...nice to see Pingster, Robin, Klutch and the rest of the gang....maybe...someday...we organize a family day for all of us....ehehehhe..bring your wife and kids!....how about that!...

For those who are interested in Starwars outing...we are incorporating with the AGM day...which is on the 29 05 2005...it is on Sunday...after we came back from Kukup....

Anyway...me is going to organize another outing coming up....anybody here is interested to watch a play... "The Keling Kia Trilogy" ....it will be held on 25 May 2005....but i need to find where it will be held...dun worry...it will be held in Singapore...i will get more detailz about this play...all i can say about this play...It is fun and exciting to watch...something different to try...

Any takers?

Anyway the CDI thing was told to me by mechanic cos got one time after heavy rain, my bike went bonkers. Could be battery problem. My meter went crazy engine stalled.

Best to visit different shops for different opinions. O maybe could check with Varadero Designer???

we .. are in the same boat.. but at least yours still wiling to try to ride your bike.. mine... wont even let me talk about it...

but still its better to be bikeless with a gf then single with a bike....

bro u can try bikelab along serangoon , near big mah motor.

if u going to ride the bike for long, a set of aftermarket is definately worth the dough.

if u interested PM me , as I am also going to get 1 soon maybe can have bulk savings...

undeniable dat ohlin is mother of all suspension, but da $$$ i rather save on my dream bike den really pimped it up cuz my v125 has alot of add ons oredi liao....i gotta control my itchy hands ah...hehehe!

My sig picture is not stored on website but on my PC.
