Anyway first hand vara OTR if i'm not wrong can get around 10k....if u pay full cash...can range from 12-14k if u pay installment depends on ur downpayment and the years of installment...

if you want 2nd hand...not much in the market though....

once u get the bike...any other things u need can just ask us and we'll be glad to assist u.....acessories...parts...etc etc...

How did they accident happen bro. This kinda situation is kinda tricky any one experience this before too. I belive he swerve to your lane and to avoid him u had skidded. i belive u can claim but you need to report this accident to the TP.

U need to report the incident to the traffic police and gather your witness. The TP will investigate this incident. U also need to go to IDAC to report this matter and get your vehicle inspected for damages. Call the owner of the car to tell him that u reported against him and that u intend to claim from him.

wassap bros!!!!

simone - actually bro, klutch does not need to go to traffic police to make a report. unless he went to a doctor and had more then 3 days mc. all he need is to go to his insurance company and claim. but he needs the other party's vehicle number. if not cannot claim.

Klutch - bro, hope that u are fine man. anyway, was there any contact, if got contact can make report to traffic police. can consider a hit and run case. but still u need the plate number.

tbteng - congrats bro...welcome to the club!!! hehehe...was just like you. i got my vara at loois motors at ubi. you may want to look around first before getting one. look out for the best price...enjoys!!!

I think this is the first time i've seen such a helpful person, bother to log on to check if it's any of us and offer to be a witness.....even though we never met before, U really deserve to be mentioned again. :thumb: Care to join me for coffee???

Klutch

Bro u alright??? Below r a few suggestion of mine:

Scenario 1

Car plate no dunno lameruss85 have or not. Irregardless got contact or not if it's due to the driver's action tat caused u to skid and fall, gp see a doc first, (govt hospital) document ur injuries first, if more then 3days MC , go nearest police post (with the other party no) and lodged a report. Case will be handled by TP.

Scenario 2

If MC less then 3 days:

Go IDAC to rept the other party (Having the other party's registration number is a must) to claim a 3rd party from him.

Scenario 3

If u dun have the other party's registration number, AND ur insurance is first party, aka Comprehensive policy, then u can claim urself, but have to depend on ur excess amount. And go IDAC to rept to claim repairs for ur bike.

Depending of facts of case, but in all cases it's not necessary it's the driver's fault, and dun be surprise after lodging a police report, and they conclude the investigaion and penalised u instead for self skid.

Klutch: If u make a traffic accident report, chances are that it may backfire on u. U might kena self skid. It's to ur favour only if u have the vehicle number and a witness. No vehicle number = pointless to make report. No witness = No concrete evidence. Also if u do have 3 days mc, u do not meet the criteria to make a traffic accident report. The police will advise u on insurance claims and insurance claims u must have the other party vehicle number.

My 2 cents.

Visual....... Its not so simple as in few screws

If my method of removing the fuel tank is correct, 1st u have to remove the whole fairing 1st including ur speedo. den its is the fuel tank.

Process.... not really that difficult, juz need some time to remove. By doing, it might get ur speedo to work again..... for a while :cheeky:

Whats Up DAwGz!!

visual>>> Bro...I think you can gave up hope in resusitating your speedo...coz i have given up hope since we came back from KL....even the Boon Siew people told me that...this bike surely got problem with speedo...and they dun know even why...they juz gave me an explanation that speedo not suitable for our tropical climate....and they said nothing wrong with our speedo censor...in my opinion...it is believable...it could be the chip in the speedometer itself that is not working...can receive transmission from the censor but cannot compute properly..ehehehheheh....and You know something...i was looking through Honda Spain website....under accessories section for Vara125....they are selling digital speedo...juz like a bicycle speedo....hhhmmm........for me...i gave up on rectifying my speedo....

Klutch>>> Dun fret on what happened...i know it is frustrating...like what people always say...Bike can be repaired...dun be hard on yourself...take it as a lesson....in another angle...now you have the experience if you were to be in the same situation in the future...you know what to do....never mind....come Tuesday...see you at KTM...i blanja you any drinks that you want!...alright? :thumb:

LTC, Unknown & Iswady>>> is it true that in any accident which does not involve injury to people even there is a collision of vehicles...the NPP wont take up the case?...ehehhe...you are the best people to ask....juz an enquiry...

Unknown>>> $2.50 chicken rice!!!....juz to add onto your list...Teck Whye got 1...and Liang Seah Street got 1...Chinese Halal Chicken rice...Power!....:cheeky:

pingster>>> Agree with what you said...i saw mechanics take out my tank...not easy....and also brothers....dun forget to turn off your fuel gauge and pull out the tube plus the overflow tube at the top part of the tank....

An accident bet 2 parties or more

1) Does not involve government/foreign vehicle

2) No injuries to all parties

3) No government property damage.

if the accident doesn't have any of these 3 criteria, the just simply fill up the GIA from given to u by ur insurance company and go to to nearest IDAC.

Actually all are case by case basis, it all depends on the rider, whether he thinks he has enough bullets for the case. Eg: An accident bet Car A and Bike B where Car A cuts into Bike B's lane abruptly in order to make a turn, leaving the rider no time to react, thus skid and fall. This itself will highlight that the car is the one mostly at fault. But given in another scenario, same facts but these time, Car A wanted to change lane safety to rider's lane, rider dun want to give way and speed up, traffic light change, rider applied e-brake thus skid and fall. Then fault would be more on rider. An accidents bet 2 parties or more, all will have these ratio of fault. All these is more of "Did i play a part in causing an accident or not kinda question"

thanx to all bros for all ur feedback n support. there wasnt any major damages or injuries caused worth my time pursuing the matter. so im leaving it as it is. but its quite frustrating coz this has happened for the 2nd time juz that i braked early the first time n didnt skid. this is what hapened .........

1st incident

i was going straight on the right lane (2 lane road) n a car was turning right from a minor road on my left. although there was a stop line, the car ignored it n made his turn. i horned n braked at the same time n what do u know, the damned driver thought that it was safer to stop in the middle of both the lanes. lucky for me i managed to stop in time.

2nd incident

was going straight on the right lane, again (2 lane road). at a junction there were 2 more filter lanes on the left n right only for turning vehicles. was going bout 60 n as i went over the white line of the junction, a white merc on the opposite road (opposite direction) made a u-turn 2 go in the same direction as me. reminded of my 1st incident, i only applied the brakes without horning at the driver. unlucky of me that the driver also had the implication that it was safer to stop in the middle of both lanes. my only option left was to squeeze the brakes as hard as i could n pray that i do not fly over his car. in the end no contact was made except between my bike n the tarmac.

n what was the most frustrating thing after my little tumble?

me reaching school only to find my class cancelled

in any situations, the vehicle behind is always required to maintain a safe distance. at least that is what i think.

if i remember correctly, in normal circumstances , vehicles going straight has the right of way followed by vehicles turning left then comes vehicles turning right.

wat about u-turning vehicles?

klutch >>> the most important thing is that u r ok....let these be a learning experience for you and improve your riding skills...

i believe much of our bros explained the outcome and consequences....

i couldn't figured out how ur accident happened after reading your description in your "2nd incident"...

but from the way u describe it you got a strong point.....

correct me if im wrong...

You are heading straight (light in ur favour if there is any)?

The car is making a U-turn in the opposite junction?

You have the right of way as u are going straight and the car is turning right (U-turn) from the other side of the road?

You have a witness? lameruss85 it will be good if you could help him on this? anyway makan on us...

====> i will ask my friend about the possible outcome if u claim insurance based on the facts u gave...

i think u got a case.....

but firstly u should make police report...idac...then claim from insurance...
