I remember Niti telling me it is around 350km thereabouts...but the mileage was only 250 when it went on empty.... so am asking around what kind of mileage the rest of the Vara 125 dudes are getting on the normal tank before switching to reserve.

bro, the mileage depends on ur weight and riding techniques.....my mileage is around 350-370....riding techniques, meaning how much do u open up ur throttle when moving off and ur cruising speed...the more u open ur throttle and the higher ur cruising spee....the higher ur petrol consumption.....

jus sharing my experience.....

specialc>>> bro...i guess...your problem is the petrol is it ?......i agree with what iswady mentioned....when i used to own a vara...i clocked about 22-25km per liter....a fellow Outrider bought my bike...and he is clocking 28-31km per liter on the same bike...based on your event...you are juz clocking 16km per liter....i guess you are the lowest record we have...the previous record was 19km per liter...i got 1 thing to say....muz be your riding style....but i dun rule out with what Beb said....Vara125 will start to jerk or have this camel riding effect..due to spark plugz....i doubt it is your battery...coz you are riding...and it is charging while riding...dun worry...your vara will be good as new after you change the spark plug...:cheer:

Keanan>>> WAH !!...go touring never chio!!!....Rabakz!...break your virginity also alone alone...next time ask us along...we can break your virginity together gether...more shiok!!....ehehehehhe....:cheeky:

tt6389>>> the place you mentioned...i guess should not be a problem for Super 4...but you will be facing "over heating" problem...which is not an issue...i think...you will see the temperature light blinking...thats it...i always slow down my speed to 100km/h....it helps a lot...:thumb:...after your trip...you should try Hat Yai !!....

Wady:

Hmmm ok, I am 73kg plus my bag with notebook maybe another 10kg.... and I do ride like a wuss because I am a P plater and I cant weave in and out of traffic because I got panniers that sticks out...8-) Will monitor for another tank as this is my first refill since I took over from Niti....

Daniyal and Beb:

Bros, my spark plugs were changed just 3 weeks ago so I guess it is not a spark plug issue..if they were fouled, all the time, I will feel like a camel as the bike will be jerking and "missing" when idling....

Anyway, thanks to all...I will monitor and give you all updates after this tank...which will take me sometime to clear.....

I didn't know super4 get high temp if travel 120km/hr for long duration? This is bad!

Then I should install a temp meter, like what cars r having.

specialc>>> alright.. here is a state secret.. i weigh 105kgs..

my mileage is between 320 - 360km on a tank.. also.. i usually pump shell and they do not allow u to straddle your bike while pumping so without a mainstand the tank does not really get filled up cuz of the leaning of the bike.. i dunno if there is a lot of difference though..

the furthest i have gone on reserve was about 35km.. was tempted to see how far i could go but uh.. chickened out..

somebody told me to pump petrol at night cuz the fumes don't evaporate so fast so u end up getting more from the pump to the tank.. *shrug*.. dunno..

hope this helps!

Toobez: hehhehe state secret hehehe ok now the state secret is out.... I guess I was right about VPower evaporating as it is a very very light fuel... experimented on my car and I suspect some fuel may have evaporated when I did not ride.

Your info has been most helpful!!!!

Anyway to all here, the 7th month is here tomorrow...and for 2 consequetive months.... be careful when we ride at night, okay? I am staying off night riding for 2 mths just to be on the safe side.... pantang.....

Spark plugs should not be fouled so easily unless the AF is totally out of wack....running too rich. The gapping and heat range should also be appropriate for the model of the bike. Copper plugs need to be changed often. The rest like Plat plugs should last at least 20-30k kms....

Actually you don't need sandpaper...just dip the head in petrol, the residue will just fall off......

Hi Bros!!

Specialc -->> Sometimes it doesnt take 7th month for sumone to be 'lucky' bro. If suey suey, ride at Pendas at night also can give u an "Out of this World" experience....!

Just wondering whether there's any plan on coming up with a new Outrider T-shirt. Lots of new members and frens now so it would be good to have a 2nd edition of our previous Outriders tshirt.... :thumb:

I just came back from my Segamat hotspring trip. Travel from Tangkah to JB , more than 200km, speed average 140km/hr; no overheating at all. But temp meter is good to have, because when it start rising higher than normal , it means the water level is low or radiator fouling or small leakages. Can fix the problem before bike is stranded in dunno where.
