Installation at sengkwang can cost another couple of hundreds.

Possible to fix on standard rack like H&B without additional cost. Most of us using H&B.

visual>>> yo bro!...if you ever have the time....do check out Kia Picanto....test drive-ed....not bad....very zippy....passenger seats is spacious than getz....you might want to check it out...:goodluck:

hey nazri,

did try the picanto, yep...Does feel more zippy and more responsive then getz,

but i prefer getz interior, the back seat for pika,, its 100% fold down.. while getz allows a 50%,50% (fold) so if you got stuff to cramp in, drop one of te seats and the other one could still cater to a passenger...which would definately be my daughter and her child seat...i suppose...

anyways, if you guys got the time, check this out..

http://www.pbase.com/cmanaginged/big_deals_for_small_wheels

a funny interesting read on pika and getz...actually the writer is sort of making fun of the 2 cars..

"the more expensive the car, the easier manufacturers make it for you to drive, so the less involved you tend to be. Here's a classic example of going back to your roots; compared to more civilised models like, say, the Mazda 3 or an Altis, the difference between you and the road is about 500, 000 pesos worth of insulation. Here, you feel everything. You are the shock absorber and insulation. Its almost like sitting on the road itself as you scurry along. You can feel the texture of the road surface being transmitted straight to your butt, not through some breakthrough of clever engineering, but rather from the lack thereof. But this is a good thing if you're one that enjoys driving."

*kind of like a bike eh...* ;)

"Because of its size and weight, the feeling of speed is magnified and, at the end of the day, if you haven't got enough road (or cash for that matter) to really break free, the next best thing is always the perception of speed. Sure, I could cruise by effortlessly in a Honda City Vtec at far greater speed with less involvement and no white knuckles, but that's not the point – this is unadulterated pleasure. Or, cheap thrills, if you will."

anyways... u tried proton savvy already?

the v strom w/o the windshield i dont know.. maybe to make the feeling of close to riding naked more effective.. hmm anyway Weird Wan did a great thing of keeping that BEAR companion along with him all the time.. that should turn heads when riding on the road.. with his sexy shorts, maybe he could get the attn of female drivers and gay drivers.. fuuh!

A Rider Should Ride With Their Brain NOT With Their Balls.....

Hi all

Well I just took bike out for its first ride, about 30km around changi village, and Ive got to say I love it. My riding skills are a bit rusty, and it stalled once, but other than that it went great. I was surprised at the throaty sound; for a small engine it certainly sounds like it has got a lot going on down there. And unlike the Gilera Runner I used to have, this bike got several admiring glances. I'm very impressed.

Time to accessorize: this is where it really starts to get expensive.

My bike is pretty much standard except for a glossy new but cheap looking top box from the dealer (ogf I think), and a taller screen (which is fine). I need to buy

- crash bars

- side panniers and a proper top box.

- an undercowl (how important is this?)

- halogen bulbs

- a proper horn (the factory one is hillarious!)

- hand guards

- maybe better mirrors - the ones installed are a bit short.

I will trawl this forum for the best recommendations and then ask you guys any questions I have left afterwards.

As for the panniers I think the bike looks better with just side panniers and no top box: what is the smallest size that would fit my helmet (A nolan n102?)

I have lots of research to do!

Other than that, please check out regularly with the guys here for better deals, I got conned a little 'cause of this. Sigh.... hahaha.. well what to do ....

GUYS- Sorry abt not being able to meet up for the last meeting. Busy busy busy. Well when is our next meeting??

I brought my father on a ride on the expressway the other day.. When the bike hit abt 110.. he was screaming for me to slow down.... than we cruised and it was a lovely ride.

A little father son bonding... he he...
