The willows green the river shore,

I hear my love singing in a boat.

Its sunny in the east, raining in the west.

It seems the sun is hidden but love is in the air.

I have signed up for the Defensive Riding Course on the 14 Feb. Mine starts at 0845, hope you guys are on the same time slot.

Only Toobez's name is familiar to me.

There is only a single slot left after me. Hope Al-simmon manages to sign up for the same time slot.

Guys, im thinking of installing H.I.D on my vara. Can anyone confirm with me if we are using 'H4 HID base bulb' ? Any comments on H.I.D being installed on our bikes?

wai >>> our bulb is a M5 bulb.. like most of the doodes here said.. it is probably a good idea but just use it for one side? i have riden around with just one bulb in SGP after the other blew and it hardly made a difference in terms of what i could see.. and i guess that one bulb is still enough for other road users to see you..

not really sure bro as i haven't tried YET....even you put ten H I D you can never beat my HELLa :cheeky:

weird >>> yar.. no one's hella gets knocked off my it's rider by riding into someone else at a petrol station.. hence leaving your hella in your box where it will function nicely..

Yo wai,

i'm using H4 halogen bulbs. I think, wady is using H4 halogen phoniex bulbs.

HID is not legal for road use. So think twice...

In my opinion, h4 Halogen is good enough for use. High beam it along NS highway and everything's clear.

Regards.

redwolf >>> wady is using M5 halogen bulbs.. same as me.. they are bright but do tend to blow relatively fast.. remember that when replacing bulbs to not touch the glass(use a cloth?) or it will severly shorten the lifespan of the bulb.. if it does happen then alcohol or anything with alcohol can be use to wipe the oil off..

Confirm H4 can put in without widening the reflectors and bulb holes? I looked before and the size don't look like H4?

specialc >>> doode.. how ya been man? our bulb is M5 socket.. if anyone wants to do a conversion to H4(by which u can use phillips diamond/crystal vision bulbs) it costs $40 at KnT

aikon >>> master.. do keep us updated with the info about the C2C ride.. those dates, however are out for me as i have curriculum.. vacation is from 2nd - 16th june..

My humble opinions:

Turning on the highbeam along the NSH should be done only when there's little traffic on the oncoming side and the vehicle in front of you is quite a distance away.

Turning on the highbeam all the way will most prob subject you to those humongous spotlight beams from the local trucks and SUVs on the opposite traffic which may temporary blind you for a couple of seconds.

But to each his own...

william tan >>> thanx for the sharing experiences.. it is true that even normal bulbs are quite annoying when they are angled too high.. let alone halogen or HID ones!

Master Plan for 2007

Hey guys!

2006 was an awesome year for the OutRiders family.

We conquered the curves of Fraser’s Hill, surfed at Bekok waterfalls, were romped at Endau Rompin, visited Melaka a few times and ended the year on a high in the beautiful Phuket.

Not to mention eating, drinking and hanging out loads.

I am sure we are all grateful to the grand master, Al-Simmons, for his dedication, commitment and sacrifices made.

Thanx doode!

So without further delay, it brings me great pleasure to present to you the OutRiders committee for 2007!

*drum, conga, belly roll*

Chairman : toobez (Mark)

Vice - Chairman : iswadyidris (Wady)

Advisors : Al-Simmons (Hus) / yem_paul (Yem) / Aikon (Sufi)

A. Trips for 2007

1. Fraser’s Hill (confirmed)

6th (Fri) – 8th (Sun) April 2007 (Good Friday Weekend)

2. EcoRide

1st May (Tue) 2007 (Labour Day)

3. Penang

31st (Thur) May – 2nd June (Sun) 2007 (Vesak Day Weekend)

4. Coast to Coast

June 2007

5. Thailand (Koh Samui or Northern Territory)

8th ( Sat) – 18th (Tue) Dec 2007

Pls note that only Ride 1 is fully confirmed and this is where we will iron out plans for the rest of 2007. :thumb:

B. Meet-ups / Lepaks / Makan Sessions

Apologies to those who are unable to make it for meet-ups due to the messages being sent too close to the meet-up time. Just that sometimes we wanna meet for dinner or supper and it is quite a last minute thing. In which case I will just SMS in case anyone is free.

To make it fairer for everyone and to ‘share-the-love’, I propose that we try to have a meet-up that is pre-planned every month. As such we will take the date that most of us can make it and plan the date/time/venue in advance. :thumb:

C. TopUps

Let’s set the topup sessions to be every Tuesday night. Will always be on unless of bad weather(in which case I will SMS).

Time : 2115hrs (pls do not be late as most of us have work / school the next morning. TY!)

Venue: Shell JAI then on to GP. :thumb:

D. Logo / T-shirts / Stickers

Just to let everyone know that our logo is being modified to be given a more modern edge to it among other various ideas.

Once the logo is completed then we will look at getting some shirts printed for everyone!

If there is a demand then perhaps stickers can be done also. :thumb:

E. Admin Stuff

If anyone needs to reach me for anything you can add me on MSN(or email) : [email protected]

PM me if ya need my number.

I do not think I have everyone’s number so would be great if u could PM/SMS/email your HPnumber / MSN / email / DOB. Thanx! :thumb:

peace
