guess what my frends... usually i would reach reserve at 360-380km but after changing the air filter and tuning i manage to go 402.7km then it reaches reserves tank... i guess the air filter and the tuning helps...i am not kidding abt it..

me and embrace did our air filter at K&N.. the mechanic changes our filter to K&T air filter and also when you changed your air filter the mechanic will do the tuning for you as to adjust the air intake so that the air intake is directly proportinate to the petrol intake..

How's it doing? Just browsing through the forum and thought I'd say Hey to evryone...

Been riding my vara for 2 mths and its been great, just did servicing on my vara and spend $261.55 on my air filter, brake pad and svc charge all that...haiz...

 

Do u guys have any suggestions as to where to get spockets cuz e one on my bike's not original according to the Boon siew guy..if i were to change at boon siew it will cost me $400 +...

Btw is there any gal vara riders out there?just curious

u can get the stuffs from FJT at Rowell Road along Serangoon road...quite near to Mustapa centre

Front and rear original sprockets plus a good chain will cost you around $300....

but installation wise need to go bike shop to do unless you have the necessary tool to do it urself...

 

u should meet up with the rest of the riders here...can learn more bout the maintanence bout the bike...where to get cheaper parts...and so on...

I may not be able attend my Defensive Riding Course on the 14 Feb. SSDC allows me to change it to another date but i have to go down personally again.

 

I'll let you know once that's done so you can change and slot yourself in with all the Outriderz on the 14 Feb.

General Info : Fraser's Hill (Bukit Fraser) is a colonial-era hill station in Pahang state, Peninsular Malaysia.

 

Understand

Fraser's Hill is named after Louis James Fraser, a Scotsman who prospected for gold in Australia but eventually struck tin here instead in the 1890s. Employing Chinese miners to do the hard work for him and earning his keep by operating mule trains down the mountain, Fraser set up opium and gambling dens to increase his profits, which may have had something to do with his subsequent mysterious disappearance. The tin ran out in 1913, but the lush valley within was rediscovered as a colonial hill resort that, thanks to its 1524m elevation, enjoys considerably cooler temperatures than Kuala Lumpur. By 1922 a road had been cut through the mountains to the valley, which soon sprouted bungalows and even one of Malaya's first golf courses.

 

Not much has changed since, and Fraser's Hill retains a wonderfully weird mixed-up character, where locals eat curries off banana leaves in a English cottage next to a golf course while the call to prayer sounds from the mosque.

 

Location

Fraser's Hill is located 105 km north of Kuala Lumpur, around 2 hours by car. For a long time, access to Fraser's Hill was possible only via a 8-km one-lane road known as the The Gap, used by uphill and downhill traffic in turns. However, a new road was completed in 2001, and while promptly closed for repairs it is, as of March 2006, open once again. Now all upward traffic uses the new road, while the old Gap road is designated for downward traffic, with no time restrictions round the clock.
