Hey ppl, long time I not on line.. sorry my bad...

Yeah to thos whom I have met up for the fuse. thank you all very much. To those who offered me their fuse, thank you very very much. No worries abt the trxxx at RK.

I went to get ne tyres from lilfarhan and guess what S$280/- for Michellin Sirec front and back. W.T.F. gave me the most ridiculos reason as to why it was that price. Just came out brand new. I mean like what...

Guess I know one thing for sure...dont trust farhan's contacts...confirm will rip you off one. hahahahaha

By the way..gr8 job toobes....now at least you know where i got lost...hahaha..next time i will follow you and we can stopover there and have a drink together and laugh atbt it. hahahah....

patricc > Yup, can handle lock. Anyway, ive ordered HEL brake hose for my vara at Mah Motoparts along Dunlop street. Cost S$160/= with installation.Dun think its very ex. You may wish to consider getting from there if want to install. You into M-frame? I know I am. Anyway, the custom made crash bar is at 1st motor as pointed out by Al-Simmons. If you dun want the colour, can always do it at Punggol Blk 638 MSCP like what Al-Simmons, Wady and I did. That time it was blue, yellow and red respectively. Hehehe.

Al-Simmons > The hella makes my heart itchy (again) May consider getting it. The shape is just what I'm looking for. But may be put off by the battery power.

NITI NITI NITI NITI............ :thumb:

okie.. think i mentioned at the start of the year that after careful consideration and council that the logo was being renovated to give it a more modern garang look.. have spoken to a few of my friends who are into design(and only accepting offers that are free) and it is currently in the works.. am hoping it will be done by end april.. and i too cannot wait to get my hands on a new shirt!

fyi, this is the info that i have passed on to the designers..

hi..

thanx for considering this project..

hope the info i will provide provides some creative insight into your design process..

club name: outriders

Main Entry:

1 : a mounted attendant

2 : one who escorts or clears the way for a vehicle or person

3 : forerunner, harbinger

formed: 2003

the bike: most of the guys initially rode the honda varadero(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varadero) - actually means 'blue beach' 125 dual purpose(on/off road) bike.. was pretty uncommon back then as for the price many would consider it 'not worth it' as one could purchase a 400cc motorcycle with the price.. but then again having 3 classes of licences in SGP means that initially one could only ride a bike up to 200cc.. however recently(and in no small part due to the singapore bike forum and outriders) the popularity and appreciation of the bike has increased greatly..

the bike is more popular in europe as the ruggedness and features are more easily appreciated for long distance riding.. and most people in SGP would upgrade to bigger cc bikes eventually..

the bike is low maintainence (partly due to its small cc) and has excellent fuel consumption(suited for distance riding) and has a large body for it's small displacement..

cruising speed is between 110 - 120kmh, which maybe be slow compared to other larger touring bikes, is ideal for travel in m'sia as it's highway limits are mainly 110kmh and the authorities are coming down hard on speedsters..

in a way, people that ride this bike either really love it or really make fun of it.. but having reached places all over m'sia in all kinds of weather and terrain without a single problem, and even as far away as phuket, the riders are sort of a rebel with a cause and differing feelings of the bike to people who are power and ego hungry..

the riders: the club has members from students of 19 to 'abangs' of 45.. again mostly due to riding the same bike but there are people who ride different bikes(even bigger tourers) who appreciated traveling with us due to our focus on camaraderie and safety, rather than speed and bike size.. even though eventually some of the guys move on to bigger bikes, they still continue to hang out and tour with us and it is not uncommon for the new person who takes over someone else's bike to end up joining us..

the cool thing is that after joining the club most people find that we put the people and friendship first rather than just talking about bikes and touring.. in fact most of the time we meet up, most of the conversation is about other stuff and we regularly do other stuff like watch shows, bowl and eat.. we even get invited to each others weddings and other important events..

there is no official 'membership' and we welcome all people.. we even have 2 ladies in our midst.. the only official appointment is the chairman who plans trips with inputs from the more experienced riders and tackles issues such as riding safety, discipline and 'keeping the fire burning'..

the logo: the logo was initially designed by the first chairman..

the 'V' in the logo represents 2 things.. the inside lines show the headlights of the bike(pls refer to pictures attached - CIM2342)

on the outside of that are the lines of a v-twin engine.. these engines are very rare on a small cc bike.. being found on most big touring bikes and harley-type bikes.. (pls refer to pictures - SUC50721)

the banner below shows the name of the club and represents our pride and the wind on our faces..

could you?:

what i was hoping you could do would be to

1. remove the flames

2. remove the orange 'feet'

3. redesign the 'headlight' with the representation of

i) always forward looking

ii) being bright and showing the truth in the darkness

iii) a fierce looking squint that is curious, fierce and determined

4. redesign the 'v-twin' with the representation of

i) small yet tough and rugged

ii) not afraid to stand out from the crowd

iii) it's not the speed but the distance

5. redesign the banner to read 'OUTRIDERS' without that typical 'motorbike-like font'

6. to include the words ' adventure . safety . family ' under the word 'OUTRIDERS' as our beliefs and motto..

7. as i need this in high-res (the actual picture is way to small to do anything useful') i guess u would have to start from scratch

- as such.. i was hoping for a more modern feel along the lines of

i) the bike is japanese

ii) varadero means 'blue beach' in spanish

iii) whatever you feel from looking at the pics attached..

peace and regards

mark

hope this gives u guys some insights on it and i cannot wait for it to get done!

Fraser's Hill Ride

Date : 6th (Fri) 0500hrs - 8th (Sun) 2359hrs April 2007 (Good Friday Weekend)

Agenda : Ride, Relax, Rest / AGM(Awesome Grand Mtg - review 2006, Plan 2007, Q&A)

Accomadation Cost @ Singapore House : less then S$20 per person for 2 nites

General Info : Fraser's Hill (Bukit Fraser) is a colonial-era hill station in Pahang state, Peninsular Malaysia.

Understand

Fraser's Hill is named after Louis James Fraser, a Scotsman who prospected for gold in Australia but eventually struck tin here instead in the 1890s. Employing Chinese miners to do the hard work for him and earning his keep by operating mule trains down the mountain, Fraser set up opium and gambling dens to increase his profits, which may have had something to do with his subsequent mysterious disappearance. The tin ran out in 1913, but the lush valley within was rediscovered as a colonial hill resort that, thanks to its 1524m elevation, enjoys considerably cooler temperatures than Kuala Lumpur. By 1922 a road had been cut through the mountains to the valley, which soon sprouted bungalows and even one of Malaya's first golf courses.

Not much has changed since, and Fraser's Hill retains a wonderfully weird mixed-up character, where locals eat curries off banana leaves in a English cottage next to a golf course while the call to prayer sounds from the mosque.

Location

Fraser's Hill is located 105 km north of Kuala Lumpur, around 2 hours by car. For a long time, access to Fraser's Hill was possible only via a 8-km one-lane road known as the The Gap, used by uphill and downhill traffic in turns. However, a new road was completed in 2001, and while promptly closed for repairs it is, as of March 2006, open once again. Now all upward traffic uses the new road, while the old Gap road is designated for downward traffic, with no time restrictions round the clock.

Just trying to help..... how about just having the word 'VARADERO125' printed on the back of the T-shirt and the word 'OUTRIDER' embroied on the left collar using dry-fit material as the Polo T-shirt?

Colour of Polo Tee - black, Wordings - either blue, yellow or red. With logo, cost of T-shirt may be high and main thing is t-shirt would be too complex. Just my 2 cents
