eh bros....

today while riding at jb i made a right turn at a t-junction. when i shifted my gears from 2 to 3, dunno y but suddenly the chain came loose from the rear sprockets. i stopped my bike for a while and sumhow managed to fixed the chain on the rear sprocket again. i realised that the chain slacked too much and went to the nearest workshop to tighten it. at first, no prob. but on the way back home, realised that the rear part of my bike vibrate a little. i knew coz i can feel the vibration while resting my feet on the footpegs. then there is this "wooing" sound eveytime i close throttle and pull the clutch...

anione noes wats the prob or not...?

Wooh.. how come ur chain 'slack so much'?

wonder how u managed ot fix back the chain.. *dirty job lah* hand dirty..

chain actually should never be too slack..as u can see in the manual

if the shop managed ot tighten it.. and its not slack.. then should be ok...the sound.. seem to imply.. that some how.. power from chain to rear.. got problem

COULD suggest , if your chain looks pretty messed up. go change it lah..

*btw* how old is the bike?

my chain was chaned when the bike is 1yr ++

i dun even noticed that my chain slacked already. tot that i tightened it in june, should be able to last until next month at least. when i checked again after fixing back the chain on the sprocket, i tink slack by 40-55mm already.... :giddy:

hmm, my bike only 10mnths old

haizz.... everytime my bike got prob, no matter how minor, my heart confirm restless to the max one...

Niti, I think it;s time for you to check your sprocket and chain lah. I brought from Sanfu, full set with front and rear sprockets and DID X-ring gold. Costs me around $160. I don't mind the price as they really do their job well. Maybe you can call Jawa (Sanfu) to check first for the stock and price.

Hi, maybe you need to check the battery and the rectifer. Sometimes when the battery are reaching "COE expiry date", they will tends to go "crazy"...

Most likely time to change ur chain. Maintain ur new chain by ensuring it's properly lubricated. It could also be alignment problem.

Proper chain adjustment is to sit on the bike while the mechanic adjust it thus proper tension....

do try to change ur chain and sprockets as a set..otherwise, the new chain will deteriorate very quickly under the old sprocket and u'll be back to square one..

Hello Brothers..regarding niti problem..i haf some suggestions..if u dun haf money to change ur spockets and chain..

Get someone to sit on ur bike..u check the tension of ur chain..then move forward a bit.. and check again for the tension..keep doing this until u complete one loop..u will realise that certain angle ur chain is tight and certain angle ur chain is loose..if 90% of ur chain is loose..thats is the time to change..if not, u can wait until there is slapping sound again, then u change the whole set..change tension will vary very much without load..u haf to check it with load..

About the wooing sound, i went to BS..they said that it is due to my chain slack..but i dun think so..anyway they tighten my chain for me..

Anyway, if u dun mind..u can wait for me till 10102004..coz thats my pay day..i will send my bike to see the doctor..coz i want to change my spockets to a smaller teeth..my bike rev is too high..

Anything, can gif me a call..

pingster,

the battery juz changed..

den the white color light they wont catch..cos u usually on to the higher beam n not the smaller one when u riding,be it day or nite.

as for the speedo problem..its normal for it to swing from O to 140kph n back to O,as long as it doesn't get stucked at 0 den is gd enough

Think before you speed, cameras are all over the place now

[pingster] frankly the meter.. abit mesed up lah...same thing aplies to my vara.. at times.. the speedo will go to 140 and beyond,,.. then back to 0..

what i ususally do is..turn off the bike (as in off via the bike key) then wait 5 sec .. on again.. problem 90% of the time.. is gone..

as for the trip meter resetting.... when u rev trottle... *could be the meter* well i dont know.... have u been to BS to ask them?
