Yo visual bro,

 

thanx for the post bout the insurance thing. i would be renewing my insurance next yr too but my insurance with mitsui i had to pay 600+. i'm thinking dat its a bit too expensive so tot of trying out with other companies. maybe when the time comes, i get more of the info from u, bout hw to go about getting the insurance

 

bout the vara125/1000 thing...

 

well, personally i'm kind of excited that there is a vara logo coming up. finally there's something that all varadero riders, regardless of their cc, can look upon to. soon the riders would have a club of their own and t-shirts with the vara logo printed on it. And of course, the logo that would be sticking on their bikes will proudly give the rider the identity that he belongs to the one and only official Vara club in Singapore, perhaps in Asia

 

but then i dun deny dat there is a feeling of uncertainty whether the smaller varas would fit in well with the big boys. some of us might feel inferior standing side by side with the big ones or maybe couldnt click quite well with them. i mean, we r the smaller ones, so the big varas could be looking down on us.

 

but wat pushed me to give this Var-A thing a chance is the recognition and support that some of the bigger vara riders, like Varas and Smicerboy, gave to make me feel that i am part of the family, regardless of the size of my bike. They personally came to our forum and told us their plans and ideas and invited us to join in, which i believe is a kind gesture.

 

Varadero is a nice and good-looking bike. I would love to see more of our kind get together to a massive group and show to pple wat lovely machines we have. Through this forum, more and more vara125 riders got together. Who noes one day, through this forum, Var-A would also be a success with the 125s and 1000s all bunch up together in one big family.

 

 

But then again if it fails, a real Vara125 Group would come up (hehe, just a thought!!)

Bros , pls also dun forget , before we ride the vara1k which required class 2 to do so. We do pass thru a stage called 2B. In case u all forget abt it. There is nothing proud at all to hold class 2 and it certainly doesn't warrant us to look down at smaller cc at all.

Remember this, sooner or later , I believe all of u guys would upgrade. And who knows may even choose vara1k as ur class 2 ride

so please feel free to join the meet up on wed, althou i couldn't make it. ( I am in scotland now if u all curious to know, i m doing my studies here) I certainly hope u guys could meet up .

the insurance when i pay for the bike for the second year was sky high, ard $600++, this year it has reduced to $170.....

 

NCD played its parts and i believe also the authority has stepped in and ensure minimum"illegal" claims are done by motorshop.

 

I did mine with "SUPERBIKE" @ Ubi, they settle everything, even getting the tag done up. Also NTUC...so far they have pleased me as a customer.

 

As for the gathering, i personally would prefer to have more 125 to come along. As least, it would not be "awkward" if it happen that others are caught up and forgets about you. [simcerboy] No offends and no special meaning.

 

I had bad experience with one other group - Sxxxxxxders some years back while riding my humble korean chopper. went to the meetup, no one and i meant it no one, even bother to ask. When i approach, the first question was what bike you ride, i answered and that was when the conversation ends.

 

But this time round, all varaderos, so i supposed like VARAS has mentioned, we should not try and make an effort. Phobia from the past shd let it be in the past.

 

So dakar,simone, visual, niti, tijan, pingster, 6ofitall, wild_i, azman, vara84, hikel(sorry cannot remember all names)......

Sorry if i were to interrupt..I am new to bikes..before i got my bike license..i used to drive..i went on outings with my people i met thru net..my experience was, no matter what car u drive, we dun care..coz we juz want to chill out, makan, get to know more about cars, acessoriess, etc..

 

To be honest, i believe the vara125 haf its own identity..even we going to mix with the big brothers..coz we are vara125 no matter what..judging on this forum..phew, i love it man..i haf vara125 kakis, i make new frenz...i am proud to be the rider of my vara125..i dun care what people said about me and my vara125...dun u think that people might be impressed with us when they see vara125 riding with the big boyz..they haf guts, they haf style and they are huge!...

 

i hope i haf not offended anyone in this forum..i dun mean to..i understand if some of us have reservations..i think that is fine..human have feelings..let time be our judge..

VISUAL brother..relax lah sikit ...chill out ok..i know you have done alot for the 125kakis..but do give the 1k a chance..if they are goona print the design on tee-shirts, winbrakers, cap,logo..i can sense that it will be something presentable..or even excellent..we can give a try by going down tomorrow and take a look... well if all of us like it then..we take it..if not...WE DISCUSS over it and not bragged it ok...

 

Secondly..it not all about big bikes,big CCs, higher class licence, how fast the bike can go,how much the bike cost,how small our bike are,our 2b licence...etc..

ITS ALL ABOUT HOW WE WANT THIS THINGS TO BE DONE WITH OUR WHOLE SINCERE HEART...MAKE SURE WHEN WE WEAR THE LOGO..WE FEEL PROUD...

 

Sincerely..when ever i pass by the big bikes..i dont feel anything or akward or...whatever...but i am really proud cause i work hard for what i want..and this is what i manage to produce from my hardwork...i am proud to have alot of ppl eyeing on this 125cc bike which look like a 750cc bike..seriously alot of ppl ask me about my bike...i really feel happy about it...i have tried a few bikes and i can say this is the best 2B bike...

 

So all guys out there...dont be afraid of whether you ride a small cc bike...like what DOUGH 76 says...ITS NOT HOW FAST YOU GO...ITS HOW FAR...

 

And lastly before i ends my talk today as i am very sleepy now...(just came back from work lah)..i do hope to see all the VARAs unite cause like i say.."Its something that VARADERO have that MOST of the bike don't.."

during my 1st year.. i didint even get the letter (thast says i was insured by them) and i got no doc.. to tell me what to do.. to claim.. and i PAY more at Mitsu! so guys.. if your On mitsu.. and need to renew.. give NTUC insurance.. a call.. check their. price... BUT... NTUC.. do not insure.. s4, CBR400 & RXZ..

mine... (speedo meter sometimes) go crazy.. jump to 140 and beyond..

but i noticed.. on Non- rainy. hod days.. i NEVER seem to have this problem.. but the moment... (last night heavy rain) the next day when i start the bike.. i'd get the problem..

 

seems like rain has some connection with the speedo going crazy...

For the fellas that ordered the Engine guard, I've been told that it is already in. We should pick a day that is good for all of us to go pick it and install it together.

 

Nice to have met Daniyal, Sable, Dakar & significant other and the other guy(sorry i forgot your name dude) tonight.

 

The design looks awesome. The order should be up pretty soon. It is going to be in a Polo tee shirt. It will be embroided on the chest and the back of the polo tee. There will be no distinction between the 125 or 1K as the VAR-A will encompass everyone. ( I personally feel that is good) There will be no nick customization on the tee so if you want to do it, you gotta take it elsewhere to get it done. I for one am looking forward to laying my hands on the tee as I can then ride and wear it proud...heh heh:bounce:

2 week ago, after few days of continuous rain, my speedo and even digital display went hay wire....

have u ever took out the speedo and check?

like dismantle it?
