Brudder Simon,

Thanks for asking. Appreciate it much.

But would wanna noe why my bike keep on dying when I shift from

3rd to 2nd gear or whenever I shift to lower gear.

Could it be the air filter or the carb (air intake)??

Think service the carb and air filter will solve the prob??

Wow! u mean u guys riding V125 to KL this Dec... COOL!

I read about Bro Chow just brought his V125 at GHC-Serangoon. Frankly speaking, I have the intention of upgrading to 2A & 2. Therefore, I tink it's better to get a 2nd hand bike...

I understand that it is slightly heavier among all the 2B bike. I agree with you that it is easy to control and manipulate the bike due to its sitting posture...

I would like to view the bike as well as to get a feel of sitting on it... My fear is that I'm just to short for that bike... Would like to find out more about the V125...

Will keep a look out for that bike... Thanks anyway... Cheers! Happy riding guys...

Hi Peepz

Read the last 2 to 3 pages of this thread. A nice group of people

from what i have gone thru'.

Last tuesday i was along Depot Rd and say someone with the V125.

At first i tot it was a bigger cc bike....only later when i spoke to him...

then i found out that it was a 125cc. Pretty impressive...and the little

extras he added to the bike was simply visually stunning for the eyes.

This bike is a HEAD TURNER when combined with the right mods :thumb:

Initially i was thinking of changing bike to a X9...presently riding a TA200.

But after seeing this bike..."up close and personal"...hahaha

have a change of heart now...not to sure what to do? :sian:

Well i hope you guys can give me some pointers on this bike. Background wise

like handling wise solo and with pillon...have wife so sometimes must 'tumpang'.

The max speed the bike can go without sounding like the bike is about to collect CPF. Like for my TA200 i feel that the bike is at optimum at ard 80-110km/hrs...maybe at the most 115km/hrs...otherwise i feel the bike is screaming somewhat. If it can do 100-105 w/o stressing the engine shd be fine :thumb:

Lastly the price range for this bike? Like for a FU, FV, etc.. bike?

It all boils down to the budget in the end... :faint:

Sorry for the long story...totally blur abt this bike and its performance.

Thanks in advance...Cheers!

Peace!!!

ps. don't forget to go see my movie ;)

my experience with pillion, top speed is 110km/hr; without pillion is 120km/hr.

fuel consumption i am getting ard 28-30km/litre(95% time with pillion).

Slightly heavier than most 2B bike, good riding posture and comfortable seating.

Dont expect to ram off first at traffic lights like an NSR but defintely turns heads at car parks and kopi tiam.

Vibration minimum, due to v-twin engine. engine is quiet; price wise abt 10-11k for new one, Bro Chow just bought from GHC-Serangoon. Good buy, with the goodies GHC gave him. 2nd hand ones, some bros here are keeping a lookout for darby. Jus suggestion....maybe if you two buy from same shop; can get better deal....

Lastly, the best thing abt this bike

:thumb: , lots of kakis.

Click this to know more about the bike....

Cheers

Hey tks daystar_70...

Very informative...

Oic...Darby is also looking for a 2nd hand bike...tks for the

suggestion.

Darby___ Hi, if you happen to come across more than 1 bike at a particular

bike shop let me know yeah...

like what 'daystar_70' said...

we can maybe get a better deal if buy 2 bikes together...

At the meantime i hv also ask my bro to check out at his bike shop if hv any

2nd hand ones there. Bike shop is at eunos.

The only prob i see is that 2nd hand the interest is much higher compared to

1st hand bike...but in terms of machine price you know...

but ultimately the bike has got to be performing well...no point buying dirt cheap

but in the end it gives you a headache every now and then.

Bro Chow___ you bought your bike from GHC....i a bit blur about this bike...

are they the only ones that deal with it brand new or is it that you did some leg work already and this shop gives you the best deals? Btw, how's the bike performing?

daystar__70 , any idea how much is the extras like crash bar and stuff like that cost..?

And the most impt. question... Do you guys go to like a mechanic that is well versed in this bike that charges ok and does a good job.

Like for my TA200...there is this mech at Depot Rd...he is quite okay

in servicing TA200 bikes. So if i do decide to get this bike...knowing that there is a good and reliable mech around saves you a bit of a headache.

Once again sorry for the long composition again :nono:

Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Peace!!!

hi brudder man.

one of the reason could be that your idling speed is low. have u check after u warm up the bike about 3-5 mins or around 3 bars on the thermo check your rpm its should be at 1500rpm i usually leave it at 1.6rpms

you might also wanna check you clutch is your clutch too near u might wanna adjust it back.

another reason could be that your bike tuning is off the fuel/air ratio maybe to lean. u might wanna get ur carb syncornised and retuned

for temporary relieve till u acutally have time to get down to a bike shop cos i know ur a very busy man.

U might wanna try the STP complete petrol treatment. The grey coloured bottle u can get it at "Hardware DIY" can get it at Mustafa. Its a more convinent way to get rid of the built up carbon. Another temporary solution is to get your air filter cleaned with compressed air depending on the state of your air filter.

wat is the mileage for ur bike. have u chained your oil filter engine oil and spark plugs. do this religiously esp if your bike is as old as mine.

Is there any meet up...juz asking...and btw, in my opinion...its better not to change to K&N air filter...coz our bike is not sports bike...juz look at my bike...previous owner use K&N filter...and now i suffer...juz wanna share my opinion...

Hey Guys... oops now got gals....

Has been such a long time didn't write in here. Firstly welcome all the new Vara riders. Secondly, you guys are making wanders now... expendition to JB, KL. Most probably you can make it to Thailand next... Right now, too busy with my studies.

   Can't join you guys.

For me, trips to KL or JB cannot lah... Civil servant very leiche lah... I have to inform my movement lah... to management... no choice...

Guys, I suggest those who wanted to change chain, better use DID X-ring. You will definitely like the difference with the stock one.

Simone, don't use STP too much lah.... if you really want to clear carbon... just pump in Shell V-power twice or three times a month lah...

I miss the ordering of the t-shirt....

Well, guys. I will try to join you guys If I can make it for the next round locally.

To all the existing Vara riders, and the New members.. enjoy your ride and safe journey to KL. Remember do stay in group ok. What I suggest is to travel at 110kmh if you want to enjoy the journey... unless you like "speed" like me... 130kmh throughout..... but remember to slow down for a few minutes.... for breaks... so of you guys.. might not be used to long journey riding... then you will experienced legs and hands numbness. As the blood flow jammed lah...

With my experience to KL (Solo)... try to stick to the centre lane but in group... do look out for big truck ok... as when they passes you... you might feel turbulance..... My advice is to step your leg rest with your foot ball part. It will stabilise your bike... Wind wise.. normal as long as you remember my advice... you won't be flying around....

Last week, before hari raya... I was been spotted by a TP... my speed too fast lah... so guys, do travel safely and stick to your speed limit... Luckily I got warning only... Thanks to the TP.

Once again, safe ride for KL trip.

Haeikal

Welcome to the world of acidsburn

Brudder Simone,

Thanks man!!!

Think... point 1 & 2 is covered but the actual prob could really be the

carb(point 3).

Really need to work out on the "carb" and air filter(changed last April).

Maybe get the air filter cleaned huh.

As for the oil filter.. always change a new one on every oil change.

How long once need we change the engine oil???

Btw... change plugs today.

Its ngk iridium. Half the problem solve.

Will tag along with you on the 12th Dec. Fill me in K.

Great meeting you tonight. Many more meetup session to come.

Hope you got the job brudder.

May we all get to meetup before the "Magnificent 6" take off to KL.
