Anybody know what this thing is? Found it underneath my bike and I think it dropped off - looks kind of familiar, is it one of those "cable ties" inside the fairing? It was dark outside so I couldn't confirm. Hope it's not part of something essential. Let me know if it looks familiar.

 

The piece is a thick and rigid wire that I cannot really bend with my hands, it looks like it rusted through and broke at the end on the right, next to the coin. Coin is in the picture to give you an idea of scale.

Juz a wire rod to hold ur throttle cable and brake hose...don't worry.

I checked this morning and ah fatt would be correct, of course, it is the wire rod that used to hold on to my brake hose - it's mounted to the right part of the handlebars at the height of the ignition.

Anyone knows if Vara 125 is able to fit a 49Litre africanqueens fuel tank meant for Vara 1000 ?

 

Or if anyone managed to fit a large fuel tank for Vara 125 ?

Never heard of anyone done this before. I dont think our vara got enough power to handle the extra 32litres. I think you will end up pushing the bike. Hahaha

no point having that.....400km full tank is adequate even riding in thailand......extra weight=compromise handling=higher fuel consumption= lower speed. Even if u planning for long trip up north also no point......

btw for ANYONE interested or planning a trip up north ( into thailand and/or beyond),

 

i doing a trip up in late apr to may....14-16 days in total, maybe juz eastern and central thailand.

map will be something like this......

 

SG-NSHW-Hat Yai (not shown), then transit by train to BKK(A), Ayuttaya(B), Trat©, Pattaya(D), Mueang Chonburi(E), Prachuap Khiri Khan(F), Surat Thani to Koh Samui(G), Hat Yai(H), Gelang Patah (I)

 

All checkpoints more or less confirmed, may have additional checkpoints depending on where to go see-see look-look. Just a trip up north for a two week getaway and testing out machine and rider, plus visiting frens. From SG to TH (checkpoint A-F) are solo rides, meetup with other riding kakis at Surat Thani to Koh Samui (2nites stay) on Day11 or 12. Stopover hatyai (1nite for rest) then blast back to SG.
