HELP NEEDED - Near Accident

nearly got into an accident!

 

I was traveling along raffles boulevard on my lane then this errant indian trans cab driver (SHD974Z) dangerously cut into my lane from the left.

 

despite me horning at him, he didn't stop coming at me. instead, he tried to swerve into my bike when I was beside the taxi and tried to knock me down.

 

suffer scuffs on my left leg and well, a damaged shoe. dammit.

 

 

any idea what should I do now? how do I complain?

nope not there. it's after the left turn from suntec city between pan pacific and marina square. no reason to cut into my lane like that. ):

I'm not sure why the driver's race needs to be HIGHLIGHTED here. Or even mentioned for that matter. Do you think taxi drivers of one race are better or worse than any other? Or would you be less mad/offended if the driver was the same race as you (whatever race that may be)? Please stick to the relevant facts.

But the above comment notwithstanding, good to hear it's not much more serious than a scuff.

 

I would recommend calling the taxi company (they usually have a customer service number different from the booking hotline) and making a complaint. Ask to be updated on what action was taken. You could say that if you're not satisfied, you will be complaining to the traffic police.

 

Or you could just complain to the TP as well at the same time and see what comes of it. If the taxi company's action is satisfactory, you can inform the TP later that the matter has been settled and withdraw your complaint.

i dont know why this race thing come up again, but i dont see any issue with mention a person for who he is. if i mention TS is a chinese, does it mean u also, who is a chinese? frankly u guys r too sensitive here.

 

anyway in TS's case, it's very hard for u to fight, the taxi driver can jolly well say u bang into him. the important thing is witness, check if there's any traffic cams around and prob film down the incident.

 

if u report to insurance, most likely the outcome is 50/50, he claim for u damage, u claim his. so just think if ur claim vs ur premium increase is worth the claim, else just report police n wait for outcome. complain to the cab company also, however most likely the company will protect their drivers.

It's okay bro. Its just that some, if not will get offended by it, depending on the way it was written. If you didn't capitalise all the alphabets except the first, i would say its alright. Have you ever seen a newspaper article capitalise every letter a particular race? (Not considering those headlines where everything is caps) I am sure not.

 

It is also important to watch out for sentence structure and phrasing as well. Some people may be too used to speaking in that certain manner that they don't realise it may be offensive.

i also exprience this be4. but i almost flew out due to big gust from the car , the car squeezed same lane as me when i m on 100+km perhour. his speed at least 140-160km.

he squeeze in my lane to over take me.i was at lane 1 of the expressway
