Able to fix a box that is damaged through prying?

Hi,

 

My stock china brand box "Jintan" was pried open by some unknown faggots and some stuff was stolen.

 

The box looks ok and they key mechanism is but just that the metal plate behind the lock that is used to secure the box is broken off, anyway to fix it?

bro.. if your box got broken into once, it'll get broken into again even if you change lock. why not just get a better one with better locking mechanism

if the plastic is intact, can always customize a lock and get the lock set replaced.

 

all lock system can be easily pry open, unless u got money to spare to design a sofisticated one which might worth more than ur box. the common way to safeguard is to install alarm. also, never keep ur valuable stuffs inside.

But remember to put thread locker or something at the other end of the nut. Because if not the thief can just bring his screwdriver and unscrew the whole damn thing off!

Coz i no money change the box, i might pass to my dad to use also coz the box is still in gd condition, just that metal plate behind the lock that is use to lock the box is broken off.... but like arthur said, all can be pried open easily so even i get a givi or kappa also the same....

U noe anywhere that can replace the lock?? But i agreed on ur part regarding all lock system for current box is easy to pry so no matter wat i change also not much use...

sorry no, ur best bet is to scout those motor shop n see if they have a similar box which u can strip for spare parts. sometimes u might be lucky n get the parts free.

 

my box has been broken into b4, but lucky no damage n nothing stolen. my friend told me a even scarrier method which u can break into any box.

already said so. anyway this method dont even need force n can empty a box without damaging it (not using screwdriver).

i know ah boy can buy the jintan lock. then just use screw driver to change. if your box is still good condition except the locking latch is broken.
